So.......why be pissed at The BEARS? ............
It's a GOOD DAY!!!! .........

The Bears could have moved. Nobody was holding a gun to their head. Sorry, but, one of the top franchises in the league was TOO cheap to build their OWN stadium...!!! Might be good enough for those that ACCEPT mediocrity...

Wow..so the Bears pull off an awesome victory against Minny, a breath of life in this otherwise shaky season...and it only takes you a day before you find something to bitch and moan about, and what you complain about is their stadium? Well, you have fun with that.

Didn't Soldier Field hold 100,000+ before the renovation? I kinda remember them not being able to sell it out, and that being one of the reasons for the remodel.
I could be wrong.

If you REALLY want to be pissed off at the Bears and the city go check out a game at Lambeau sometime. Chicago makes tail-gating, getting into and out of the stadium, taking a piss, and getting a beer in the nosebleed seats as difficult as possible whereas Green Bay invites it, welcomes it, and cashes in on it. The bars and restaurants inside of Lambeau are nice and open to the public all week long, not just on game days. I'm a Bears fan through and through but I'm just saying that they did it right when they remodeled that place. Soldier Field doesn't even compare.

doh!!!!!!!!! ......
I don't know.....personally, I can't see the BEARS anywhere else but Soldier Field. And the Park District certainly isn't going to sell it.
Beautiful location on the Lakefront. Easy to get to. It's perfect.
So, if the city is willing to invest the money (especially since I don't live in the city....so it's not MY taxes ~ LOL!!!), then why not????
Who cares how many seats it holds anyway .... ????
Are you making anything off the ticket sales? LOL!!!
I'd rather watch the game from the comfort of my living room, in front of my 55 inch TV, with a cold one being just 10 feet away, and a bucket of Hot Wings....looking out my window watching the snow falling while a blazing fire is going........
Personally.......I'm just not thinking about how many seats the stadium holds, and I really couldn't give a rats ass about being downtown.
But, whatever......... to each his own.

I can top you on this one 3nagurski, last night I was losing by 80 pts in FF and I had two guys playing, Vick and D. Jackson, I never thought I had a chance to win but when it was all over I lost by 1.5 pts. 1.5 freaking points. I was losing by less than 4 pts and still the 4th quarter to play. Now the worst part of his loss is that I lost to Nerrad.

Bahah....yeah, i think losing to nerrad is more cringe-worthy then simply losing by 1.5 points.

Anyhoo. The new cowboys stadium is ********* awesome. The $26 tickets, I hear, are NOT WORTH IT, because they always sell too many of 'em, but if you get an actual seat, it's fuggin' nice. Plus, if you can't see the play for whatever reason, they have that amazing screen, AND the luxury seats are at/below ground level; They look like nice ass hotel rooms. I think Soldier Field should be a lot like that.
