Why I am pissed at the Bears today...!!!

As I was watching the Redskins game yesterday evening, I noticed something. Something that I had never noticed in the countless other games that I had viewed this season, or, seasons past. As I was sitting in my recliner, the game came back from a commercial break. The opening shot was from a blimp of FedEx field. At that moment it hit me...

WHAT THE HELL WERE THE BEARS THINKING WHEN THEY "REMODELED" SOLDIER FIELD...!!!

FedEx Field makes Soldier Field look like an ash-tray...!!! REALLY. Not ONLY does FedEx field hold 50% MORE people than Soldier Field, but, the new Soldier Field is SMALLER than the original...!!!

It is total mismanagement like this that really fuels most of my "pessimistic" attitudes towards this franchise. That is just amazing...!!! I never really paid attention before, or, maybe it was just intentional ignorance...!!!

Well, when Oprah retires, maybe she'll finally buy them out. God knows she's about $$$ and winning.

I haven't been to the new Soldier Field. I haven't lived in Chicago since 1988 and that's the reason. My understanding is that the new facilities are much nicer than the old soldier field, but with all the architects in the world available, you would think one of them could have come up with a design that would have saved the pillars and updated the stadium in a more congruous way. I think the new facility is a tragedy.

your not gonna find too many to disagree.... or many who havn't been complaining about it since they botched...errr.... upgraded.

Really?? That is it?? If I were you, I would turn that hate on the governement of Chicago. The Bears operate within a framework of the city, not some wild spendign billionaire like DC or Dallas.

Soldier Field belongs to the City of Chicago Park District ....... Not the BEARS Franchise.

I've been to Fedex a few times (and new Soldier once). Soldier field is much nicer (actual seats not benches). True it doesn't have as many seats, but it's much nicer....top to bottom.
