You know, Briggs demanded more money, and is the first player in the NFL that I can think of, that has gotten his payday, then come in and played absolutely out of his damn mind. Good to see honor is not completely dead.
I agree with every player listed so far, and would give Marinelli a bonus/extension. That defense is playing with a chip on their shoulder again. Tackling is much, MUCH improved, solid front 4 pressure, and no longer getting gashed by the run.

we have been blessed with no key injuries fwiw. And when Briggs cried for more money at two year left on contract we didnt give it to him. We didnt give him a new deal until Berrian decided he wouldnt take an extension. We are damn lucky Berrian didnt could you imagine we would have lost Briggs cause of that lol. We didnt get Briggs until he tested FA and saw he couldnt get a 50 mil deal.

I am a big briggs fan yet i felt he deserved a good pay day for his play on the field. I think Tillman deserved his pay increase but I think Urlacher doesn't deserved his last pay increase.

I think you are seeing the impact that Urlacher has on the defense this year. He may not be able to dominate from sideline to sideline like he did earlier in his career, but make no mistake that the defense, Briggs included, is MUCH better when Brian is on the field.
I think our DT's (Adams and Toeaina) should be given a lot of credit for our success defending the run this year. While neither will scare a QB much in the pass rush, they are doing a hell of a job in stopping the run.
