The only two negatives about the entire game were Cutler's interception and Ja'marcus Webb's four penalties. If you really wanted to stretch it, you could add Devin Hester's failure to catch Cutler's bomb into the end zone in, I think it was, the 1st Quarter. But this night is great, and I can't complain about a big win against a big time defense like Miami's.

At least Webb had a good down-block near the GL-they were laughing that Williams didn't have anyone to block.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Oh no...dont dare leave out our piss poor Run Blocking on OL...its still downright pathetic, and our RBs are getting tackled BEFORE they even hit the LoS. Pathetic.

The O-Line cant be that bad with Forte rushing for 97 yds.
The O-Line is still evolving ... but it's evolving for the better from one game to the next.
A TYPICAL BEARS O-Line from a few weeks before the bye would have Cutler staring at sky & Forte rushing for 31 yards.
SOMTHING has improved ... maybe its just keeping the same rotation from one game to the next & letting them gel.

Jim, I really don't think that our run blocking is all that bad. For the second straight week, we have put up over 130 rushing yards (135, to be exactly, good for 3.4 yards per carry). I like our strategy with running the ball because it's basically the old philosophy that was employed by football coaches many decades ago. Have you ever heard of the phrase "three yards and a cloud of dust"? We ran the ball 40 times in this game and, at times, gained some pretty solid yards. Miami has a good run defense, and our tenacity wore them down. This is the best a Bears team has run the ball since 2006, including Forte's rookie season of 2008, where he gained 1200+ on the ground. Do I think the running game is perfect? No. Do I think we need to block better? Hell, there is always room to improve in the run blocking game. However, I am satisfied with results, because the running game we have currently is winning football games for us right now.

I guess you guys are watching a different game then i am. Dont confuse running yards with a Good OL. Most of the yards came from Forte bouncing to the outside, making defenders miss while he ran for 10 or 20 yards. Which is great for Matt, but doesnt mean anything when talking about the OL. Anytime the RBs tried to run between the tackles or up the gut, they were tackled before they hit the LOS. The OL is piss poor in the Run game, and luckily our RBs are good enough to cover for that...but the problem comes when they wont be able to bounce to the outside against better Ds.

I'm quite certain that Forte's TD was as up the middle as you can get
