I wouldn't mess with the line right now, we're finally seeing some consistency.
I agree.

I was unable to see the game tonight, kept up on my phone. I hated seeing J web's name on the penalties, but a rookie from ANY round will struggle with his feet against a 3-4 with a guy like wake in there. Those speed guys are faster and bigger than anything he is used to from his days at small college texas state or where ever he went.
This is how you develop players, so you guys better get out of video games and get ready for some patience. J webb, Williams, Louis, & OMG are going to anchor this O line for a long time. FINALLY, we are seeing the venerable "gelling" and coaching take hold. I for one, am excited to see where these guys take us this year.
Yeah, we did not win 83-0, but a 16-0 beat down in their house is a great game. The offense is growing and will be better every week.

Yeah, we're going into the toughest part of our schedule, and making excuses for our biggest P.O.S. lineman because he needs "more experience" really makes sense. I watched Cutler force throws because he was constantly getting pressure from the right side. And I saw the holding penalties without navy blue and orange tinted glasses, THE DUDE WAS HOLDING THEM. Don't make an excuse for this guy, and don't say he needs mroe time if he's going to be a major liability against teams with better talent than the ones we've been facing. That's honestly just asking for it. Making the excuses i've seen for him are the same ones that could've been made for grossman during his first full season in '06.

Your looking at a rookie who's recieved a lot of deserved praise, and got a real challenge last night.
Miami's D-Line is no joke, and ALL linemen have off days. Webb is gonna be a stud RT down the line. I don't think we need to start riding guys after one bad game.
if he makes a habit of it... yes. one game? NO.

Thank you. I thought the miscues of the rest of the line were acceptable in a game of football, but this guy keeps making 'em game in game out. He might be a good guard, seeing how big he is, IDK, right tackle, right now is a BIG no.

He does make a habit of it, and does it more often than not. I'm not writing him off, again, but I don't think he gives us the best chance to win right now. we've got 12 days until the Eagles game. MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN.

Webb's usual faults were bigger last night, for whatever reason. He had poor knee bend and he turned his body too quickly. In addition to that, his hand use in pass pro was god awful and on some occassions, he stopped his feet on contact (which is not normal for him IMO). Basically, in every phase of pass pro, he stunk at times.
I don't think it was just because of Wake, i think something was off with him.
Webb had a sub par game last week too IMO.
He might be hitting a wall. Whether he should be benched for now, to digest things and regroup, or just be left in is something Tice should decide based heavily off of Webb's personality and Tice's own experience. Like some have said already, Webb is raw. He has a lot of tools. This is a case of a rookie having a bad night. He's not shitty. He's not stupid. You can't expect a 7th round tackle to dominate so quickly. Some of you are being unreasonable *cough* TD *cough*. But because this is his second bad one in a row, I'd consider giving him a couple of games off. It's not the worst thing in the world for a rookie. I still have no reason to doubt he can develop into a solid RT for us.

yeah, and to reiterate, I don't want the keeping Grossman in to continually get embarassed thing to happen.
