Ooooh...so the only Chicken Shits on the team, are the ones JA picked...the rest are...what?
And yes, i know you werent SPECIFICALLY talking about them...but in a roundabout way...you are. You claim Lovie turned this team around or something, when the fact is...it was the simple act of getting quality players and better coaches...which actually falls to JA, not Lovie. Dont even pretend that Lovie's awesome coaching skills magically turned this team around.

His being on the team falls on Angelo

I am not saying Lovie is great, not at all. Just saying he is not nearly as bad as posters like BU54 claims he is. And all I am doing is using those same posters arguments about how bad Angelo is in my statements on Lovie.
If Angelo sucks, Lovie must be doing a good job to get the results he is.
If both Angelo and Lovie sucked, Bears would not be getting these results.

No Lovie nor JA are as bad as everyone makes them out to be...but that doesnt mean they are "good" either. Theyve both made way too many mistakes to simply overlook those mistakes when the Bears start winning a few games.

No, you can not over look mistakes. Not at all. But I would disagree that Lovie Smith is not a good coach. Is he great or above average? No, but he isn't a bad coach.
Bad challege maker? Hell yes.

I'm hardly a fan of Lovie, or JA, but somehow this team is pulling it together so, unless they retire, they aren't going anywhere. I think we can win 2-3 more gamesthis season, and I was guessing 8-9 wins tops, with luck.
What scares me is this feels a LOT like the 06 season, every teams that was supposed to be a major opstical had either injury issues, or had quit. I just hope this does not cause the players/org to get to full of themselves again and end up having another 3-4 years of suck b/c we didn't try and improve the team outside of "resigining our own players" as FA moves, or feeling like we could afford to reach for projects in the early rounds.

More should be made about the coaches that have been put in new positions (Marinelli and Martz) then anything about improvement on Lovie's part.
That being said, I've always been a fan of Lovie's work ethic on D! But his decision making leaves MUCH to be desired!!!

That's my thing... all this depends on if Lovie shows actual signs of improvement, or is it just a product of the other big heads pretty much telling Lovie what to do...
Hefty grain of salt to go with it, but I think Lovie's learning what it takes to be a top level coach and if that is the case I'll take another 10 years of Mr. Smith..... but only IF.

The only thing I know for sure is, when the bears trade down 5 times in next years draft, pick up 3 defensive players with their first three picks, and only pick o-line in the 6-7 rounds, I'm gonna go ballistic. They may not need to fire anyone after that, I will serve my jail time for eliminating retardation with a smile on my face.

I'm interested in seing how this years draft shapes up. it's either gonna be redemption, or unemployment line for someone.
