I just hope the last game vs. the Packers actually means something cuz they usually don't ; it's either we are having the playoff season and they aren't .......... or vice-versa. It's more fun / interesting when both teams are good and playing for something.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

I don't want it to mean anything. I want the Bears to have it wrapped up before that game.

Heck, I'd prefer a 35-7 BLOWOUT to get Da Bears home field advantage and cast the pack to a wild card team. Would LOVE to beat them again in the playoffs

I'd be cool with it determining a wild card spot vs. a bye or something like that.

Exactly what i was thinking. But don't really care as long as the Bears get in the playoffs.

With how well the Bears are playing, and how crappy the rest of the league seems to be playing, id say it would take a catastrophic meltdown for them to miss the playoffs. They should at bare minimum be able to make the WC spot, if not win the division or a #2 seed.

I'm not quite that certain about it. We play NE and the Jets, two of the best teams in the league. As tight as the NFC is at this point we could easily miss the playoffs if we don't play at our potential the rest of the season.

I agree BDM. As I said when the schedule originally came out, the last 4 games of the season will be brutal. This season, wins have been hard to come by, but we've successfully scrapped thru for what we have earned. I'm hopeful, but not exactly confident.

The LOSSSES at home to Seahawks & Skins may have been the best thing to ever happen.
Because those two were gonna be a "gimme".
Instead of a complacent BEARS team going into the bye with a 6-1 record.
It just dawned on those confident bastards that this is a 16 game season & you better NEVER relax !
Instead what happened was a rebuild during the bye & coming out & winning 4 straight.
How long can it go on ?
Thats why they play the game.

I agree with the cautious optimism of the last few posts. Seems like some have already made their minds up that the playoffs are a given. But 8-3 can turn into 8-8 in a blink. So don't plan ur playoff parties just yet. I will say this though. THIS Bears team is HUNGRY. I haven't seen this kind of post-game chest thumpin' ( and steely-eyed resolve ) in a Bears team in a looong time ( and that includes 06 when i thought they were paper-champions ). This is a team that believes in itself ; is willing to take the kind of punishment it's gonna take to make the playoffs ; and win once they get there. But it's all contingent on staying healthy ( avoiding injuries to the key players ); and on Cutler continuing to progress and play like he has been the last few weeks ( don't try to force throws that aren't there... and trusting his fellow pro teammates to make plays ). There's a ways to go. But for the first time since 85 ....... i'm starting to really believe, that this is the kind of team, that actually has a bona-fide chance of being a STRONG playoff contender ; and BELONGS ( as much as any ) in the talk of who is a legit SB contender. I got a good feeling about this team. This hasn't really happened in 25 years. And this ain't just wishful thinking. Got a blue-veiner right now. But with the right sort of stimulation, it could become a diamond-cutter. I'm ready to pound nails man. LETS GO !!!!!!!!!
