    In my mind Lovie Smith has done nothing to deserve an extension. Granted the Bears are 7-3 but they also lost two home games to teams they should have beaten (Seattle and Washington). All things considered we should be 9-1 right now. The Bears are coming into the most difficult part of their schedule (2nd most difficult in the league) and I'd certainly wait for the outcome before offering any opinion about whther or not to even keep him let alone offer him an extension.

    I heard it was the MOST difficult.... maybe they meant of the contending teams.

    But who? If Jeff Fisher leaves Tennessee, do you think he's the right man for the job? He's a believer in the 4-3 defensive scheme, and likes to run the ball whenever possible. I'm not sure that there are any coaches out there who are any better for the Bears than Lovie Smith since Jeff Fisher has a similar winning percentage over a longer period of time.
