So..."Jeff Fisher to Chicago" based on the fact that the Bears were possibly interested in him a year ago?
I hate sports journalism.

Fisher takes a year off if he's done in Tenn. That way he will garner a better price in the coaching market plus get a rest. After that and depending on where this team goes it is definitely a possibility.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

if Lovie Bombs I'm all for Fisher. I'd like to see Lovie continue to pull out of his nose dive and win back the city of chicago.
Totally agree!

lets say Lovie tanks this year and next...................
wtf has Fisher done anways? His resume is sort of the same as Lovie's. I think they are very similar coaches.
Im going to stick to my guns with if a coach owns the locker room we can make things work and that Lovie does have. But gm should closely be looked at for an upgrade. I wont rest pointing out our main deficiencies are JA more so then Lovie.

Why does everyone think he is a good coach anyway? He has been there what? 17 years or so? Made the playoffs six times? One Super Bowl appearance? I don't think he is any better than Lovie Smith. Hell, he might be the white Lovie Smith for all I know

I don't see Lovie leaving after this year. The defense is really playing well and it's the first year under Martz for the offense. They are going to give Lovie another year (not sure how his contract works if there's a lockout). Now what they should do, no matter what, is bring in someone to make the picks (they really need a good draft).

If Jeff Fisher can't win consistently with the Titans, how the hell do you expect him to come to Chicago with an equally crazy set of owners like the McCaskeys behind him and win there? I mean, yeah, he went to the Super Bowl back in 2000, but what has he done recently?

Lovie has been more successful then Fisher has. It would be backtracking to hire a coach with a similar & slightly worse resume then Lovie's

It's all going to come down to this year's draft as to whether we have any success with skill position players next season.

Why do people always say that teh defense is playing well so Lovie is safe. A head coach is not judged by a unit, they are judged by the team.
Jeff Fisher has a competitive team every year and the reason he does not make the playoffs every year is Peyton Manning.
