1st Round -
Joseph Barksdale, OT, LSU - Scouting Report
Height: 6-5. Weight: 315.
Projected 40 Time: 4.90.
Projected Round (2011): 1-2.
10/2/10: Barksdale isn't getting the national recognition he deserves. He is by far the best technician in his draft class. He has elite knee bend, has textbook hand use, and displays nice patience in pass protection. He's a very athletic, talented player who will eventually be climbing 2011 NFL Draft boards.
4/3/10: Could be the first left tackle chosen in the 2011 NFL Draft. Joseph Barksdale is a very athletic lineman who had a great year with LSU. He'll move over to the blind side in 2010.
2nd Round -
Curtis Brown, CB, Texas
Height: 6-0. Weight: 180.
Projected 40 Time: 4.37.
Projected Round (2011): 2.
10/9/10: Brown is a very talented player who is not afraid to come up and hit someone. You have to love the way he plays the game and he'll get drafted in the top 60 picks.
5/13/10: Curtis Brown, an All-Big XII honorable mention, broke up seven passes in 2009. He has the best triangle numbers of any top corner eligible for the 2011 NFL Draft.
Round 3 -
Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina
Height: 6-3. Weight: 305.
Projected 40 Time: 4.88.
Projected Round (2011): 2-4.
10/8/10: Austin has been suspended indefinitely by head coach Butch Davis, and this is unrelated to the NCAA investigation of the North Carolina football team. Pictures and information have surfaced and there is now a mountain of character concerns surrounding Austin. Some team might take a gamble on Austin's talent in the early rounds, but there is also the chance that 75 percent of the league removes him from their 2011 NFL Draft Boards.
5/6/10: This year's Carlos Dunlap finished his junior year with six TFL and four sacks
Round 4 -
Kristofer O'Dowd, C, USC
Height: 6-5. Weight: 298.
Projected 40 Time: 5.07.
Projected Round (2011): 2-4.
10/2/10: O'Dowd is an extremely strong center who can maul in the run game, but the medical could really hurt his draft stock.
4/4/10: Was a first-team All-Pac Team member despite the fact that he was playing with a torn labrum in 2009.
Round 5 -
Terrance Toliver, WR, LSU
Height: 6-5. Weight: 206.
Projected 40 Time: 4.50.
Projected Round (2011): 4-6.
3/31/10: Terrance Toliver really improved as a junior, catching 53 passes for 735 yards and three scores.
Round 6 -
Mario Harvey, ILB, Marshall
Height: 6-0. Weight: 244.
Projected 40 Time: 4.81.
Projected Round (2011): 4-6.
10/9/10: Harvey has been getting a lot of hype this season for his play and rightfully so. He's outstanding in run support as a sure tackler and being able to shed blockers at will.
5/12/10: Mario Harvey has a knack for getting to the quarterback; as a junior, he had 117 tackles, 8.5 TFL and seven sacks, earning All-Conference USA First Team honors.
