Building the OL trenches is the last thing on the target wall.
Is there going to be some great leap forward into addressing what is most obvious over the years all of a sudden ?

Well, being that I'm from the region of the SEC and I've seen both WRs play against and burn Tennessee's secondary, I like both A.J. Green and Julio Jones. kroniksox has a point on Green - it would cost us dearly to grab him with a trade up in the draft. Julio Jones, on the other hand, is going to be a mid-to-late first round pick, so it's entirely possible for the Bears to draft him depending on where we wind up falling in the draft.
As for why I like them, they are both tall, physical receivers. They run good routes, and Julio Jones, I know for a fact, was an All-American at Alabama last season when they won the National Championship. Alabama doesn't have the greatest passing attack in the world, so I think Jones' statistics are a little down this season since quarterback Greg McElroy struggled at times during mid-season. Today, against Auburn in the Iron Bowl, Jones had 10 receptions for 199 yards and a 68 yard touchdown reception. I would go for either one, but even if Jones is second best, there is nothing wrong with picking him up. I wouldn't mind trading up a few spots so I can grab an All-American stud WR.

Jones sounds like he would be a good pickup
as I'm sure you know Dagan, I'm a big proponent of a modified BPA... so if Jones rates out as the BPA when we pick at #32, then so be it ;)

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a BPA? Big Play Asset?

best player available
in other words, in a modified BPA, we take all the players in certain position groups (IMO, OT, OG, C, DT, CB, and WR), rate them out 1 to x, then take the highest rated one when the pick comes up

Ahhhhh ... picking at #32 ...

Ah, thanks for enlightening me. I had never heard of that abbreviation before.
