LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Eagles announced Saturday that cornerback Asante Samuel has been ruled out of Sunday’s game at Soldier Field due to a knee injury and will not make the trip to Chicago.
Samuel, who leads the NFL with seven interceptions, suffered the injury last Sunday night in Philadelphia’s 27-17 win over the Giants. Samuel missed practice all week and had been listed as questionable on the injury report.
Nickel back Joselio Hanson, a sixth-year pro, is expected to start in place of Samuel. Hanson has played in 10 games with three starts this season, recording 23 tackles and one interception.

This is one less risk for Cutler to throw an interception to an All-Pro defensive back.

It doesn't matter much, this game will come down to the Bears OL and Cutler throwing it away if nothing is there.

I said what I said because of his performance against the Redskins, when Cutler kept throwing the damn pill in DeAngelo Hall's direction and got intercepted four times. That's the allusion I was making.

This makes a big difference, hopefully Cutler doesnt get cocky and pick on his replacement too much, he will get bitten. This is a winnable game, we just have to play smart and hope our D comes to play against a potent defense.

Well, considering the Bears "luck" the past few weeks, I was expecting this (or someone else of importance). This should be a big help.

The Bears have played like a team of destiny all season. We haven't looked pretty in most of our wins; hell, we haven't had any style points all season. But we always find a way to pull a rabbit out of our hat and win games. Is it not weird that for the Dolphins game, not only were the first two string quarterbacks out with injury, but so, too, was most of their offensive linemen? And then, there's "The Call" against the Lions that was weird to say the least. We are a team of destiny, and if we win tomorrow, I'll be even more agreeable to that description.

Just remember Cutler will do it again if we see Hall again....cannot imagine the crap he would have tossed Assente's way. Good for us.
