And can you still believe that the analysts (Tom Waddle most egregiously) are still saying that the Bears are not an elite team? What are they going to say if we beat the Patriots, the Jets, and the Packers again? I think they will have to eat some major crow then.

Because we arent elite...we are very good yes, and a playoff team, but not elite...not until we fix this mess of an OL

And if we make it all the way to the Super Bowl with this offensive line, what then? And if we win? Can they deny us that label as an elite team? Every team in the NFL has a weakness. Ours is the offensive line. Atlanta has a porous defense that gives up beau coups of yards. Philadelphia also is a feast-or-famine defense. And I'm not going to get in to the Sisters of the Poor teams of the NFC West. New England is at or near the bottom of every statistical catagory last time I looked, though they are starting to come around. The Jets are inconsistent, and the win over Cincinnati was their most convincing win in several weeks. The Packers can't run the ball, and they give up a lot of yards on the ground, yet they keep teams out of the end zone.
Don't think for one second that I've gone stark raving mad. I just get tired of analysts continually disrespecting the Bears. If this win doesn't convince them that we're for real, I don't know what will short of knocking off New England and New York in a few weeks.

No, they cant deny us that label if we WIN a Superbowl. They can still insult our OL, because the OL still has problems. But if we lose...we wont be considered "elite" just for getting there...look at Arizona that got there and lost after going 9-7
*edit...oh and theres a difference between "being considered real" and being "elite." You can be a very good 'for real" team and not be elite.

Unfortunatly we have what we have.
Only counted 1 Webb mistake today.
Thats an improvement with what we have.
Wish we had better ... but ...
I dunno ... I saw EFFORT out of our WR's that I never saw before ...
The OL did a ... decent job ... no pro bowlers ...
SPECIAL TEAMS ... SPECIAL TEAMS BABY !
GREAT field position !

That stinks. But I guess you're right.

Well we're definitely one of the best teams in the league. Only 7 teams @ 8-3 or better. This was an awesome game. Both offense & defense performed brilliantly. This was a huge win & showed how good we are. We can compete with anybody

Hmmm....let's see. You beat the Dolphins who were playing their 3rd string QB and starting on less than a weeks preparation. You just beat a good Eagles offense but wait....the top corner in the league was out. Johnny Knox, who has been non existent was a superstar against the Eagles 3rd string CB. The refs gave you a gift against Detroit. If you guys beat the Pats and Jets when they are at full health (the Pack did this to the Jets coming off a bye week.....on the road....you have both at home), then I'll believe you guys are for real. Until then, you've gotten pretty darn lucky with timing. The NFL is about breaks and you've taken adavantage of them but let's talk if the Bears make it through December. I predict 1-3 coming up at best. You beat my Packers true (with the help of 18 penalties and atrocious coaching by our head coach) but we'll see what happens come January in Lambeau.

Awww. Bitter Packers fan upset his team lost a game in the division. That's so cute & pathetic
