No bullshit, my older brother is recovering from a 3 1/2 story fall this weekend.
Dumb sh*t was trying to climb up to his G/F's appartment cause he was locked out, (guess he's done this before) well long story short he's a fulltime Rockford Firefighter, and his own station was dispatched to get him.
Retard is lucky to be alive let alone walk, yes WALK away with only 4 fractured vertebrate.
:off topic but kind relevant:
what could make this even more Messed up?... earlier that night my YOUNGER brother get's sucker punched by some A**Hole outside the bar... so I have the cops at my house looking for him cause he put one kids face through a window, and left one kid a bloody mess in the ally.
So I get woke up by the cops at 1:30 am for one brother then again by the hospital for my other brother around 4:00am.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

The dude's dead and him being drunk or not has any relevance on anything? How does "I hope it wasn't because he was drunk?" make any logical sense at this point.

I'm sure that's the thought process his family was going through.

Yeah, his family has the whole "shame" thing to worry about, but anyone else... just don't get it. Dude is dead.

I hate to think that it was suicide. I've been in the situation before where I had actually mapped out suicide plans, so it's tough. It seems like did it all the suddenly and didn't plan on putting on a show to do it.

Its simple...if it was an accident...something completely out of his control, then it really is a sad circumstance, and he can have my deepest condolences. On the other hand...if he did it intentionally (suicide), if he was goofing off, if he was drunk and doing something retarded, then eff him...im not going to waste my sympathy on morons. Darwin was right.

Yes, because being so totally depressed (which is caused by chemical imbalances and is a treatable medical condition) that you decide to off yourself isn't worthy of sympathy, or it's not a sad situation that someone drinks enough that they accidentally fall and kill themselves.
Yep, makes perfect sense to me...
Next time I read an obit, I'll be sure to hold off any emotion until I find a way to justify being sympathetic.
Waste your sympathy... lmfao.

Youre right...it is a chemical imbalance that is treatable and requires a network of support to overcome, no argument here. But thats Depression. I was discussing Suicide...a singular act of selfishness.
And yes, i dont have any sympathy for those who commit suicide, you dont have to agree with me, thats fine, but that is simply my views on it, and nothing you are going to say will change that. I also do not have any sympathy for morons who do stupid shit. Heaven forbid. And yes, "waste my sympathy." Im sure there are certain deaths in which you feel the same...in which you would not waste YOUR sympathy...this may not be one of em, but im sure there are types of people you couldnt care less about when they die. For me, that includes morons and suicides.

... and here's the thing, your sympathy or my sympathy has no bearing on anything, and doesn't change the situation. So I find it funny that anyone would say, after someone died "Gee, I hope he wasn't drunk." ... like him being drunk would make him any more dead than he already is. It makes no sense to me. I'm also not conceited enough to worry about whether or not people "deserve" my emotions, or actions. Yes, I might not feel sympathy, or do feel sympathy, but never do I pay it any thought as to whether it's because that person deserved it.
