8-9 win teams record against winning teams
copy and paste from the offish...good stats though
Since I have nothing better to do, I thought I would look at the six teams that have won at least 8 games so far. I wanted to see the record of each team against winning teams so far.
Here they are:
Jets 9 and 2 Record against winning teams is 2 and 2
Pats 9 and 2 Record against winning teams is 5 and 1
Ravens 8 and 3 Record against winning teams is 3 and 2
Steelers 8 and 3 Record against winning teams is 3 and 3
Falcons 9 and 2 Record against winning teams is 4 and 2
Saints 8 and 3 Record against winning teams is 2 and 1
Bears 8 and 3 Record against winning teams is 3 and 1
I also checked the Packers for the heck of it. They are 7 and 4 and their record against winning teams is 2 and 3. I think Wardi was laughing at us for the Bears record against winning teams. What planet does that guy call home?
So, what I want to know is why is there so much criticism in the media and on this message board, about the Bears performance against winning teams. The Patriots are the only team with a better winning % against winning teams than the Bears.

I think there is more criticism with regard to how we play against losing teams…we seem to struggle or lose outright to teams most people think we should beat handily or the record seems to indicate we should ….
2 of our 3 loses are to losing teams…the Jets and the Falcons, on the other hand, have yet to lose to a losing team…
I am not justifying the criticism; just analyzing it….
Reductio ad absurdum...it's how we roll...

yeah the two losses WSH/SEA, and the terrible no challenge on the TD against WSH, is really looking bad now. The team-early on anyway-seemed to play to the level of the opponent. They good against good teams, and bad against bad teams. Which is ok as long as you beat the bad teams

The jets have been very lucky against some crappy teams, the barely beat the lions and Browns.

One of the reasons why the Bears struggle against really bad teams is the coaching. They weren't properly prepped and that's where it all comes down to. That and Jay making stupid mistakes. They also can't come into a game expecting to win easily, they have to earn it.

The fudgies were one half of Vick led Eagles away from losing that game in week one. Their only other win against a formidable opponent is against the Jets. The media has hugged their nuts throughout the season. Just like last year.

Nice stats! Yeah, if you look at the Bears before the bye week you're gonna think they are pretty weak, but after that they've improved greatly on O and the D is getting stronger. They are a healthy team (knock on wood) and they have some game-breaker players.

Pats are pretty amazing because they rank at the bottom of the NFL in defense, yet are still 9-2. I'm not sure if there has ever been a team with such a low ranked defense that are 9-2 and at the top.

The Pats won't 9-2 after the Jets get through with them. Come to think of it, I see a potential for two straight losses coming up for New England.

don't take the pats lightly....they are well coached, have plenty of practice tape of their opponents, the ref's on their side, and have one of the best qb's and wr's on their team. All kidding aside, the record speaks for itself, 5 and 1 against winning teams is pretty damn impressive...so are the Bears but it's not 5 and 1 either.
