    WindyCity Mock Offseason Dec 3rd

    Free Agents

OG Justin Blalock [Atlanta] 5 years 22 million/ 10 guaranteed

The LG that we need to solidify the line and bring 329lbs. To the run game.

    WR Mike Sims-Walker [Jacksonville] 5 years 28 million/ 12 guaranteed

The second tier of free agent WRs he has the size 6’2” and physical presence that we lack in our receiving core.

QB Alex Smith [San Francisco] 3 years 6 million/ 2.5 guaranteed

A veteran backup that Martz knows and can fill in for Todd Collins.

    P Daniel Sepulvada [Pittsburgh] 4 years 7 million/3 guaranteed

The Bears need someone that can punt the ball more then 30 yards.

    Draft

    1[26] OT Gabe Carimi [Wisconsin] 6’7” 328lbs.

The Bears need a talent upgrade all over the offensive line. Carimi brings elite size and run blocking ability to a team that struggles to get movement consistently. Carimi also brings an attitude and work ethic to the OL that can really help the Bears. Between the addition of Mankins, Carimi and Boren we might not have the most athletic OL in the league, but we will have the toughest.

    2[58] CB Curtis Brown [Texas] 6’1” 190lbs.

The Bears need to add youth and athletic ability to their CB rotation and Brown brings both of these to the table. Texas DBs are known for being physical and closing to the ball, which the Bears need in their cover 2 defense.

3[80] OG Justin Boren [Ohio State] 6’3” 320lbs.

The interior of the Bears OL needs an upgrade and Boren brings toughness and an ability to run block to the team. Boren is not an elite athlete, but combines great technique with power to create the perfect
    RG for the Bears.

    4. DT Ian Williams [Notre Dame] 6’1” 308lbs.

The Bears interior DL has been playing really well, but they need to add to the depth and allow themselves the freedom to make a move with Tommie Harris.

    5. C Tim Barnes [Missouri] 6’4” 300lbs.

The Bears need to start grooming a center of the future and Barnes has the mentality and physical make up to be the player that Josh Beekman was not.

    6. LB Jonathan Cornell [Ole Miss] 6’ 235lbs.

Brian Urlacher is playing great football, but an heir needs to be found and trained and who better to train him then the man himself. Cornell is a seek and destroy player that can find the ball.

Like the first two players, the rest is meh. Carimi's pass blocking technique has been a blow to his soaring preseason status, but he's cleaned things up a bit since getting worked overtime by Clayborn. Brown would be a great pick in the second, so no arguments here.

Boren's got concrete in his shoes, and Ian tore his MCL this season. Even though round 4 is good value for his talent, and that seems to be JA's go-to round for injury upside picks, I'd rather not have another shaky knee in our trenches. Also, if Barnes makes it past round three, he would be the steal interior OL of the draft. He's clearly earned his place just behind the top 3 centers(I'm still including Pouncey as a C) this year. I wouldn't sneeze as a 2/3 pick if he works out as well as I expect him to.

you make more mock drafts then kiper and mcshay put together lmfao

three olinemen in one draft come on lol that isnt realistic

martz benched Smith in favor of an undrafted bum when in san fran. He doesnt like Smith

and you arent going to get a LG as good as Blalock for that price.

Carimi seems a good choice. We need a C earlier than that or FA I believe. A good NT (and getting rid of Harrison) would upgrade the positions. Based on the production we have now any drafted WR and CB would be redshirted-just depends on if they want immediate production. I think it's time to look at a punter as well.
