manu was HORRIBLE today. hes been bad all year. he gave up 2 sacks.

i was at the game 95% of the pressure on cutler was coming from webb. He stinks

I may be in the minority on this, I understand that. I think it is GREAT that we are patient with this kid. He shows much promise, though I agree that he is the weakest link on this line. We are winning with him there, AND he is learning which in coming years will be PRICELESS.
I know he is not playing well, but the upside is more important, and the fact that we are winning despite this, the development of this kid will become evident, and may very well show up late and in the playoffs. I think this is something we are just not used to seeing. Developing young players has been absent on this team for so long.

Nobody cares about potential. you either play like a pro bowler or your out. no Rookie for the Bears will EVER have ups and downs!!!!!! how DARE we insult the fans by putting faith in a kid who has a mountain of potential....
No... Webb is not playing lights out. in fact he's about 50/50. the problem is he's has the potential... potential... hang on... one last time for those of you only know how to listen to Tony Kornhieser.... POTENTIAL to be GREAT. Game time experience is only gonna speed up the proccess. Mike Tice has proven to know what he's doing. so unless you can prove you have more knowlege than Mike Tice... Put a sock in it.... if I want mind numbing B.S. I'll turn on Sports Center.

People act like we have a pro bowler on the bench that we can bring in. Don't forget Webb was put in as a starter because the OL play was awful before him. Stop acting like they have so many great options to go with.

noone is acting like anything. The title of the thread doesnt say bench him. It just says he is the worst in the league. And I agree with the poster the guy might have upside but he flat out stinks out there. Allot of the pressure on Cutler is coming from him what is wrong with that statement?

I think he's 2nd worst in the league then. The worst is who the Bears have on the bench behind him.

Problem is he's not as bad as everyone say's he is. for every analyst that points out a bad play, you have one that points out a good one. like that trap play where he pulled outside on the sweep. DAMN good athleticism for a guy that big.
you know what... if you don't like the guy you don't like him... but I will say this to anyone who wants to listen.
if your really a fan of the game, stop listening to the guys who get paid to be sensational and create drama.
Listen to the post games, listen the coaches, and listen to the players. you can get more information in 30 seconds that way, than if you watched every episode of sports center ever taped.

I think Webb will, in time, be decent for us, but like I said a few weeks ago, it may not be the worst idea to let him sit on the bench. He's very raw and being thrown to the wolves.
On a side note, how Omiyale is escaping so much criticism is beyond me. He's a matador on the left side. Any of these media guys that's said he's doing well, doesn't know WTF they are watching

It's my belief that OMG is only effective at run blocking.
Both he and Webb will need to be very alert next week. The other thing is that the quick slants Cutler was throwing yesterday should prove more dangerous next week. Gameplanning will be VERY important, and tonight should provide a good insight into the issue.
