Mooch can go scratch & so can Marshall Faulk. Come to think of it, keep the ladies & Rich Eisen. Scrap the rest.
Yea, I know Irvin is still crazy, but he is way more logical then I'd expect him to be. He's far from the worst on that network & pretty much better then almost everyone @ ESPN (says more about ESPN's staff though)
Absolutely not. Faulk is a great analyst. I'd miss him way too much if he left. He definitely gives a bunch of well thought of reasons for his opinions
Rod Woodson is without a doubt the best analyst the network has though

You all echo my sentiments exactly. We didn't tackle worth a shit in those two plays for 91 yards and the touchdown. Jahvid Best looked like Barry Sanders the way he bounced away from our defensive line and ran for forty-something yards, and we were just grasping for straws against Calvin Johnson. Neither of those plays should have happened! If we had stopped just the first play, the Calvin Johnson pass, catch, and dash never happens. We were grabbing the entire time; there was no tackling. We didn't start tackling until the third quarter.
This wasn't a case of bad strategy or of the league finally catching up with what we've been doing to be successful. This was poor execution, plain and simple.

Take away the one 45 yd. run, and Best averaged 2.7 ypc. Um, wow?

Get rid of all the clowns on ESPN. Except Berman and Ditka and maybe the rest of the countdown crew except KJ. I hat that cocky SOB. Dilfer needs to stop basking in his SB win that the d won for him. A monkey could have played QB for the Ravens that year and they still would have won. Wouldn't trust him a a QB. So, why should anyone trust him as a NFL commentator.

Difference between DaBears and NE in our games against Det is that in the 2nd/3rd qtr they broke away and distinquished themselves and we continued to struggle until the end. Dilfer is only saying what is true; we have a brutal schedule and we are probably going to start losing some games; he's just being a dick about it. We have really 2-3 good quality wins, GB, Miami and Philly, we have started getting respect, but we will have to beat GB, NE and/or JETS(at least 2 of those 3), to really start getting national respect.
I really don't buy the east coast bias thing; or they only like certain teams; Chicago is too big a market to not want to praise; it's too big a market not to want to tout as a good team. I just think our D looked like shit for most of the 1st half yesterday, and we struggled on O against a shitty team. GB struggled w/SF for a good part of that game, but then rolled them; that's what good teams do to shitty teams.

Apparently winning is never enough apparently. Somehow people think it at one point became how you win
Also, I am positive that Chicago can score 30+ on New England, I highly doubt New England can score 30+ on us
And we're 3-1 v teams over .500, Pats & Saints only other teams to not lose multiple games to .500+ teams
-
I believe that NE is 5-1 though, they are REALLY good. I like our D, but don't underestimate NE's O, Brady is definately one of the smartest qb's and they have that O shaped around what he does best; if Pisa or Roach(both were hurt in Det) cannot play, he will pick apart that side of the field.

The Packers beat the Lions by 2 and gave up 26 points... are they posers?
The Jets beat the Lions by 3 and gave up 20 also, they must be as well.
More inconsistencies from the media.

I think that play was more of a "ok they are running out the clock so everyone stand around the pile up" .... yet they couldn't see him behind it not being down. That play changed this game, talk about a momentum switch.... they just wanted to run the clock out.
