    Any given sunday.

In any case, my point is...its ridiculous to pin all the blame on Orton...we had a shittier version of Orton and still went 11-5 and made the playoffs. But hey, if pinning all the blame on Kyle makes them feel better at night, then so be it. I hope he gets traded to oakland and torches them twice a year out of spite.

I didn't realize that McDaniels also traded away that RB Hillis, who is having a monster year. So McD traded away Hillis, Marshall, and Cutler ... and then gets fired. Wow.

Ya in close games his #'s are going to be down; b/c in close games the teams are stopping them from passing, and they have no counter to it....they CANNOT run the ball; they CANNOT play defense...the sole reason they are in most games is b/c of their qb and wr's. I have watched some of the bronco games, he's a better qb then you give him credit for.
You're right in many ways Riczaj01. Orton is not getting the credit he deserves. I won't lie - I was not the biggest Orton fan.. He was always decent and lacked the arm strength/deep ball accuracy for chicago in my opinion. You're playing in the windy city we can atleast agree that every chicago qb needs to have a cannon, but let's face it - stats are just stats. I am tired of hearing everyone talking about stats. Stats are great and of course it proves something to a point, but at the end of the day it does not win games or championships.. I am sure you can go ask Dan Marino. This is not fantasy football we are talking about here. If anything i give Orton his stats, but bottom line is - he is not a winner. I am pretty sure everyone is so harsh on QB's these days because people like peyton manning/tom brady/drew brees exist. Take them (and even their wr's) away from the team and what are they? Most people would say not much. I think it is just because everything is going under in Denver that he is getting a lot of heat right now.

If KO was any good, why is it that every team he plays for looks to replace him?

I know it always comes back to this, but anyone that says the Bears did not get the better of the trade really doesn't know football. If KO were still on this team anyone think the Bears would have this record?
We would not have this record we have it Orton were still on this team but we would still have 2 first round picks and a 3rd round pick that would have been used on the DL and DB. Orton was not bad in chicago, he had the same crap fest of an OL at Jay does and he had more years or Ron Turner ruining him than Jay did. Ortons last year in chiago, he had garbage or inexperienced wrs catching the ball for him.

I see your point, but I've also gotta point out that it was NOT Kyle Orton in those playoffs, but Rex Grossman

University of Florida football fans are arrogant and pompous. They always think that everything about their team and the players on it are superior to all others. This sort of swagger goes back to the Steve Spurrier years. One thing that hasn't changed, though: they have NEVER produced a solid pro quarterback. Steve Spurrier sucked, Shane Matthews sucked, Danny Wuerffel sucked, Chris Leak sucked, Rex Grossman sucked out badly, and now Tim Tebow is destined to follow in those failed quarterbacks' foot steps. They all come from special offensive systems, and they just never could adapt to learning the pro system or reading defenses.

Trust me, I know. I'm a University of Tennessee student and loyal follower of the football team since 1989.

I'll say it like this. Yes without the trade the Bears have 2 firsts and a third. The draft and all picks are a crap shoot. I'd make that trade for a known playmaker that Cutler is 100 times out of 100. It's great to draft and have those young players to build on, but it's not like we traded all those picks for an over the hill Brett favre. No one knows who the Bears would have drafted with those picks, but one post said we could have gotten a DL and CB. I'll use that as an example. Who on the DL, or CB spots is killing our team? OL help couldn't have hurt, but even that unit is making strides. You take the best picks in each round from each year that our picks covered and they do not help KO get this team into the play-offs. Not this year.

Let's not forget this years schedule. The Bears had an extremely hard schedule and it's far from over. The NFCE and AFCE are two of the deepest divisions in football, and than we play our own which is up there. You could make an argument for the NFCS being better than the NFCE, but no one thought that prior to the season. The Broncos play in one of the worst divisions (AFCW), play against the worst division (NFCW) and than play another not so good division (AFCS). They even cheated against at least the 9ers and still lost.

I would say the Broncos OL is much better than Chicago's. RB's, no. WR's, I would say no, but you could argue that with the way Brandon Floyd is playing. And you can't say that his (KO's)garbage time stats don't mean anything. If you are getting killed, yeah teams give up anything in front of them. Don't tell me that it's because he has no running game. The Broncos average 0.1 yard less than our Chicago Bears right now. KO's stats are inflated, not complete bull, but inflated. Not to mention, who cares? Do you play the game for stats, or do you play the game to win? KO was never a franchise QB and never will be. He will always be a guy you look to replace.
Debate is one thing. Losing love for your country is another.

The current standings support this notion. Teams with winning records are have the likes of Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan, Mark Sanchez and Michael Vick at quarterback.
Why didn't he mention Jay Cutler?

Just ask yourselves who you'd rather have in your QB stable. Kyle Orton and Tim Tebow or Jay Cutler and Caleb Hanie?

That should be really simple choice!
