I don't have any problem at all with what Urlacher said... Provided he says it to his team, all day, every day, IN PRIVATE. Someone else said it and I agree completely, you have to believe in yourself, FIRST. If you don't believe, there really is no point.
In my mind the mistake Urlacher made was repeating private beliefs publicly. That is stupid and cocky.

Purple, it was interesting; one of the callers hit the nail on the head. This team goes from really good to too cocky w/no in between. They have to play perfect to win games, they have to play over their heads; when they start to get confident, they get cocky and start playing sloppy and a game like this happens.

This game was exactly what this team needed. It was a taste of their own medicine.

Cocky or not, I don't believe the Bears were EVER gonna beat the Pats today. The Pats are just too good right now and they're appear to be improving. It is very scary for the other AFC teams with Super Bowl aspirations.
At the end of the day, we know what the Bears are... a very good NFC team. I think that with the current state of the NFC, if the Bears get a favorable playoff draw, they could go back to the Super Bowl. If I'm a Bear fan, only two NFC teams give me pause right now... The Saints just because they're the champs and they look to be returning to form. As well as the Giants because they crushed the Bears earlier this season. If the Bears can get a draw that whereby they miss the Saints/Giants, I think they have a GREAT shot at a Super Bowl.

I wouldn't worry about the Pats, bro. The Pats have been and it seems like they always will be one full step ahead of everyone else. Plus, you won't see them or a team of their ilk again for the rest of the season.

Exactly. I think we have three W's coming up on our way into the playoffs.

Don't know about 3 w's....GB might be able to work us over if this team shows up and plays like they did today again.

NE is just sick; I am still worried more about Atl; at home they are perfect dating back to part of last season...and they are looking to get home field advantage through the playoffs. NYG's and Saints are both scarry to though.

Regardless of what happens, I think we've had one hell of a ride. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, expected anything out of us this season.

Exactly.
