My favorite quote from the video:
His 9 year career stands apart as the single most sustained work of devestation ever committed on a football field by anyone, anywhere, anytime.

I agree with the video, though some contemporaries would swear that the most devastating linebacker of all time was Lawrence Taylor. Truthfully, I think those people who claim that LT is the most devastating LB ever are more full of shit than a Christmas turkey, but that's just me. I take by your affinity for Dick Butkus, BigClaws, that you would tend to agree with me in no small part.

Dagan, I don't get caught up in comparisons of players from different eras. It's a matter of opinion either way and there is no way to definatively determine who the best ever is. For me, Butkus is that guy for many reasons and I dont need confirmation from others to validate my beliefs. And Cox is a close second. Fact. Lol

Point well taken. Although in baseball, there are more ways to compare players from bygone eras to players of today since the game hasn't fundamentally changed much in the past 37 years (I say this in response to the designated hitter rule in the American League being the last major change in baseball rules, etc.). I agree with you 100% that Butkus was the greatest MLB of all time, and now that you made mention that part of comparing players from different eras, perhaps we should just leave it at that. I mean, the strategies that the defensive coordinators for both the Bears and the Giants utilized in the 1960s and 1980s, respectively, were completely different. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Giants use a 3-4 defense back then, allowing Lawrence Taylor to act more like a DE?
