I can just hear Trent Dilfer now....

And Trent Dilfer was right....how odd, a guy that played in the NFL(no matter what you think of his play) and is now an analyst actually looked at the team objectively and made his opinon on fact.

Cowher was right so far as well

He'll say we still aren't serious contenders for the SB. And he will be right; again. Our coaches were out coached, and our players were out played...in our stadium in our weather....
We seriously need a dome. Not like the crappy one the vikings have had forever, but a good one. Obviously our team is meant for speed, and snow isn't going to get that. Neither is garbage grass....

Your a cubs fan aren't you Dagan; theres always next season.
I'm happy that we played as well as we have; and that we one more then I thought we would; but this is not a stepping stone....we need OL, WR's, and DB that can actually cover. And we need a HC/DC that understand how to scheme against an opponent. How the hell do you continue playing the Cover who D when the best qb in the league and their O is predicated on beating the snot out of it.

Ric, I'm a fan of a franchise far greater than the Bears, the Packers, the Red Wings, the Canadiens, the Celtics, the Lakers, or any other team in sports by miles...the New York Yankees. The Yankees struggled in the early nineties, and drafted a lot of players that would go on to lead them to FIVE World Championships (Jeter, Williams, Posada, Rivera, Pettitte). I know that it takes time to build a team up to be champions. What the Bears need to do is take this offseason and stock up the kitchen cabinet with the best talent they can buy, and then go out and kick ass again next year.
