    Offseason Shopping List

    1. C, Olin is done and we need someone that can lead the offense.

    2. OG, Our OTs are young and have been mediocre we need to move Williams back to LT to compete and get a real LG.

    3. WR, As much as I love Earl Bennett in the slot we need someone on the outside that catches the ball better then Hester and is stronger then Knox.

    4. CB, Tillman can be hard to watch and Jennings is nothing special and who knows what we have in Bowman.

    5. DT, The guys have been playing well, but we need someone who can be dominant.

Dead on, sadly it's been the same thing for the last several years. We've improved the wr's, but didn't get what was really needed, we've improved the safeties and dl, but the corners need upgrading.

Bears have to go OL, if not first round then 2nd or 3rd for sure, alot of good OL players come out of the 2nd and 3rd rounds also. You can't wait until day 2 to find OL talent. Thats why the Patriots always have good RB's no matter who they plug in over the years, because they built a great OL. Average RBs are great when there are holes, and great RBs are average when your line is getting stood up.

the patriots only have their lg and lt first round talent and the rest come from late rounds. You can definitly get late round talent to work on the oline like the entire titans and saints oline..............the problem is talent evaluation. When you have a gm that outbids himself and gives a multi million dollar contract to another teams backup like omyiale there are problems in evaluation

Yeah but the pats have proven they are the best talent evaluators by FAR in the NFL. They completely blew the Chad Jackson pick, but other then that they seem to make smart trades and good draft picks. I've always said a coaching staff that drafts right is far more important then being good coaches. Talent makes coaches look awfully good, and bad draft picks/bad talent makes coaches look bad. Think of the Bears had they not drafted Hester (probably wouldn't have won the NFCC without him or gotten there), or had they not drafted Briggs. Those guys were homeruns that CHANGED this team. On the other side, think if we had drafted someone else besides Benson, Haynes, or Tank ... those were high picks they flopped on among others. You can't hit homeruns every pick, but you better be getting doubles and triples in the top 4 rounds instead of strikeouts.
