Even special teams looked uncharacteristically bad. I know this happens at the college level a lot in match ups between Top 10 teams (Tennessee used to vapor lock every time they'd play Florida in the 90s), and the game against the Pats reminded me of those games.
I agree we completly laid an egg on the big stage.
The next game after a game like this is big and will be telling of what haopens to the Bears. The Jets just looked ugly losing to the Dolphins defense after being blown out and they appear to be on a tail spin.
A loss to the Viqueens and we should be scared.

If we'd have gotten just "beat" that's one thing. I had a feeling it was going to be a real Dog Fight.
But, actually.....once again, it was merely taking candy from a baby. The BEARS didn't even belong on the same field with New England yesterday.....and it was THEIR FIELD!
And New England OWNED it!
I love the way every time we get our ASSES HANDED TO US (and let's not sugar coat this.....30 - ZIP @ Halftime IS certainly GETTING YOUR ASS HANDED TO YOU!) that there are those that will say "oh, it was just a crappy game".
(*ahem*)..... That was way beyond "crappy" fella's.
THAT'S the hardest part to take.
Guess it's my own fault for spending all week hyping them up....just for another embarrassing azz reaming.
But, if you're comfortable with mediocrity......then you're definitely in the right town.
I suppose, if you're 30-35 years old (or less) you've really had nothing else but mediocrity in the past 25 years (with the exception of 2006), and have nothing better to gauge it against. So, it's understandable.
However:
I DO get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overly passionate about something that has absolutely no bearing on MY life the next day.
Today, I Still have a great job. Still have great friends. Still have a great life. Still have great plans for Christmas and New Years.
So, life is good! :-)
...... and I'm just too hung over to argue. :-)
At least the Packer's lost!.... to the LIONS!!!!! LOL! - THAT was fun! :-) ... LOL!!!
GO BEARS!

Funny how there are those of us that NEVER attack another MEMBER of the site or get on another "member's" case.....EVER.
Yet, mock this poor excuse for a Football team, or an absolutely horrific performance ..... and watch "them" come out of the woodwork and waste no time attacking someone else.
We all know the type......those that have to constantly redirect the "spotlight of fault" on others...whether they coerced it or not.
(Question gammabears.............. did I say something directed at you personally????)
Geesus! You'd think someone just kicked their dog.
.....GO BEARS! ;-)

It's because specific people don't know how to see the silver lining, all they see is the cloud. Even if we don't win the SB this year, say we just make it in the playoffs and either get bounced out (which i really doubt) or win a game or two, we're gonna be more lucrative to FA's. We can build this team up (which, let's face it is playing better than their talent, at least on offense) and have a signifcantly better team next year. Just gotta make sure the guys don't get cocky, or that injuries don't decimate us. Either way, we still have as good a shot as anyone at making the SB, in many of our eyes...

No you didn't say anything directly at me, but I'm kind of tired of your temper tantrum on the site. Yeah, the Bears lost, but they are still in first place and look who the Packers are playing next week. The Patriots.

I get really sick of seeing people fighting on this website. I don't care what the reason is, it's a simple lack of maturity in all of you who either start shit or simply choose to play into what someone starts up. For Christ's sakes, WE'RE ADULTS HERE!!! We should act like it. I mean, it is just stupid that people on here resort to fighting over a damn computer all over a simple loss on a Sunday afternoon in December. If losing in sports bothers you that much, then you shouldn't be wasting your time keeping up because each team has a 50/50 shot of winning AND losing the game in which they are playing. Like wise, if you're bothered by someone's ranting and raving, just ignore the person's behavior and move on.
