If the Bears don't win this game tonight they have no business in the play offs. After being embarrassed in front of the whole nation, they have a shot at redemption against a 6th round, 3rd string rookie QB making his first start. The Bears believe they have a great defense, so do I. Tonight they either prove it, or prepare to be out of the race.
I'm in complete agreement with you irish. The Bears are in the drivers seat and only need a win tonight to clinch the division and secure a playoff spot. The NFCN champion is the only one that will go to the playoffs in my opinion. The wild card spots will come elsewhere.
This is where we find out just how good a coach Lovie Smith is. After three mediocre seasons he needs a playoff appearance now in order to gain fan allegiance. If he doesn't get it done then he proves that the 2006 team was a fluke and the team should be looking for a new coach!
Just how important do those home losses to Seattle and Washington look now sports fans?
