I always like to say that a player has to play closer to 10 years in most cases to be a Hall of Famer. Hester should definitely play another four to five years, and with that, he'll have amassed more kick returns. I would like to say yes, but he needs to step into his role as a receiver to further stake his claim to the Hall of Fame.
Does it make him less amazing that he broke the record in 5 years vs. Mitchell who took 14 years to put up those numbers?
Hester is HOF after we get DENT in! But yeah...he's HOF, did it in 5 years.
Lets see...that many in 5 years so if you project that to 14 years...38?
Of course not! The NFL hall of fame does not induct active players.
As of right now...no he is not. Needs more time in. Yes, Sayers didnt have a long career, but he was a pretty damn good RB as well. Hester is relying solely on his Return #s to get in, so give him a few more years and a handful of more return TDs and he should be HoF worthy
How many special teams players are their in the HOF?
