Chris Harris has made a huge difference on this defense

His turnovers have come during the clinching time of several games this year, it's good to have him back on this D.
    ---------------
The Bears’ regular-season finale against the Packers in Green Bay on Sunday was flexed by the NFL to a 3:15 p.m. kickoff.
‘‘Our preference is to play it at [noon], but it really doesn’t matter,’’ Bears coach Lovie Smith said before the time was switched. ‘‘It’s Green Bay — it’s our rival. We’ll play them anytime.’’
    Back where he belongs
Lance Briggs made headlines last year when he said the Bears missed key contributors they lost from the 2006 Super Bowl team.
Safety Chris Harris keeps proving his point. Harris, who was traded to Carolina after the 2006 season but reacquired in the offseason, clinched the victory with an interception. He also had a fumble recovery for a career-high seven takeaways this season.
‘‘That’s the reason we brought him back,’’ Briggs said. ‘‘Never should have left, to be honest with you. All he does is make plays. Really, he needs to be on the field full-time.’’

Harris had a great game against the Jets,I see no reason why that won't be repeated against GB

It's nice to finally throw some compliments at our safeties. Although I'm not sure what was going on with that Holmes TD. Kid was wide open.

I'm torn on Harris. He can be a liability in coverage at times, but he does create some nice turnovers. Overall, he does a nice job in run support. I'd like to see him and Major Wright out there at the same time, if Wright can ever get healthy for more than 10 minutes.

Either Manning bit on the underneath route, or the corner thought he could release the receiver and was wrong. (I think you know this already)

Chris Harris has not only been a turnover machine in key moments, but he's been hitting people with Bad intentions. hardest hits I've seen from the Bears this year have been mostly at the hands of the Hitman.... Hitman indeed.

Wright has had his fair share of Rookie mistakes, but he's had a few thunder makers himself when rotated in.

things are shaping up for a pretty decent run at the playoffs here, and Next year looks to just keep going up what with a full set of draft picks and quite a few young players looking like they're turning the corner (Moore, Wright, Webb, Wooton, Melton and Corey "who needs Ayenbadejo or shaw" Graham....

yeah.... It's been a good year to be a bear fan.

I'm glad to see Chris Harris back and I'm with Briggs. They never should have traded him. The only real rap against him was his lack of range and it seems to me that he's making up for that with the same kind of intuitive play that Mike Brown was known for. We really needed some veteran experience at the safety spot and with him playing we finally got it. This is the first time in several years that I don't see Safety as a big need going into the draft or free agency. Wright has also looked pretty good in the limited time that I've seen him play.

I think the Holmes td was simply busted coverage. The corner should have stayed with him all the way. At least that's the way I saw it.

It was actually a well designed play. They replayed it. It was all about the TE. Harris had to choose between the TE or the WR. At the time, the TE was the correct choice and after he made that decision, Tillman released Holmes into the secondary thinking he had Harris over the top. In the end, I think one of our LB's should've covered the TE and problem solved. I don't think it was Harris's fault. I think it was probably your fault too, somehow.

Now if we could only dig up the DBZ archive from the day he was traded. I'm pretty sure I was furious that we kept injuries waiting to happen, mediocre rookies and an old scrub over him.

in the press conference after the game, he alluded to getting "sucked in" on the middle guy a couple times, but on that last play he just "stayed on his landmark splitting the distance equally between the middle route and the sideline enabling him to close the distance.

now word for word, but that's pretty much the jist of what he was saying.
