Mannelly touts Toub's head-coaching credentials
this is going to be a big concern, esp if we go Deep in the Playoff's, who stays and who goes, esp as probably be 8-10 HC jobs open and new staffs needed after all the firings done(Car,Sf.cincy, miami, clev, minny, hous, denver, etc). Really hope we can keep them together at least 1 more year, esp think we need Martz to stay to keep cutler and the "O" together for year 2 of continuity.

Pat Mannelly has spent more than half of his 13-year career with the Bears playing for special-teams coordinator Dave Toub.
Mannelly re-upped for two more years Monday, putting him in position to play for the franchise through at least 2012. That would give him 15 years of service and take him past Doug Buffone and Bill George, who share the record at 14 years.
Mannelly would like to play for Toub for the remainder of his career, but he's also hoping to see Toub get a look as a head-coaching candidate.
"I respect him and enjoy working with him, but I think that's an ultimate goal of his to be a head coach in the NFL and I think he is very deserving of that," Mannelly said. "You've seen it in the last seven years, the growth he has made, what he's done with us as a special-teams unit and how well all of the guys across the locker room respond to him. That says a lot about him."
Mannelly has played a record 204 games in a Bears uniform and will be able to push that total even higher. Of course, he's a long snapper. But there is something to be said for longevity, even if it's snapping the ball 15 times a game or so.
