Cap stuff- Mannelly- $2.29 million 2 years , big toe-$6 million
But Mannelly couldn't bring himself to test the market, signing a two-year, $2.29 million extension with the Bears on Monday. The Bears also signed defensive tackle Matt Toeaina, who would have been a restricted free agent, to a three-year extension worth about $6 million. Toeania's deal includes roughly $2.7 million guaranteed if you count his base salary of $700,000 next season.
"(My wife and I) have been here for 13 years," said Mannelly, who received a $550,000 signing bonus and will be among the league's highest-paid at his position. "The Bears have been good to me. I don't know if I ever even want to leave Chicago in the future. It would have been hard to go out there and test the market knowing how much I enjoy playing for the Bears."
