That's why I think you go in and let them play a half, then pull select guys at points in the 3rd quarter. Not letting them know the plan all along. That way they go through normal routine. Full intensity. These guys aren't going to forget how to compete or play, nor will they rust out by missing a half of football, or less.
I think it's a meaningless game for us. You gain little from winning. There's a lot to lose. These guys have had high intensity games. Last week, both teams needed to win. We're 6-1 on the road, so getting that road test doesn't really entice me. I just don't see the benefits.

Yes, but, do you really want to meet the Packers again in the playoffs...???

Yes.
If the Packers can make it that far, then it will be a great game, and if the Bears can knock off the Saints and Packers in the playoffs, I can't see how anyone could question their legitimacy.

Right, and both those teams are very beatable, especially if the saints game is in chicago.

You think so, and I think so, but everyone else seems to think if the Packers get into the playoffs they will instantly morph into the 97 Broncos.

Actually, I don't think that's the case. I think the bottom line is that we don't even want to see the pack make the playoffs because they are the pack.

I was in row 15 at the goaline last year here in Arizona, the "kick six" happened right in front of me. It was one of the best days of my 2010.
How dare you try to take another Packer playoff choke away from me!
