Definitely Rank it
1- Neal Anderson
2- Matt Forte
3- Thomas Jones
4- Anthony Thomas
With 2 or 3 more years & the longevity Forte could pass Anderson as best Since Payton. Payton is the last Bears back with 4 straight years of 800 Rush yd or more (only Peyton & Sayers have done this) so Forte can get that title with the longevity factor. But Anderson when he touches the ball, has definitely been better
I know it's not popular, but I'd take A Train over TJ; his total yards really weren't that far apart considering the lower amount of carries, and his TD's are damn near identical. A Train was a TD machine. I thought he got a raw deal on a bad team here. Definately Neal and Forte 1-2, and in a few years probably going to be Forte, Neal.
I said it after his rookie year, and got dogged for it, but Forte getting those 300+ touches was going to hurt his numbers the next year. Taylor, for me hasn't been as much of a bust as most of you b/c I never thought he was going to come in and get huge #'s. Mainly b/c of the OL; Forte is more of an outside the tackle back, and Taylor is a better blocker and inside runner; this OL was going to be bad for him...it's not good for Forte either, but his ability to bounce it out is what makes this OL look better. And honestly, for me taking him off of the Minny team was worth ever dollar spent; he was a great spell for AP, and was a better blocker to boot.

on A-train that he never did a thing after, tells me more his problem than the bears..played on dallas, saints and bufalo and did squat

I honestly think Bell is the guy we need to use that could punish the opposing defenses. I just hope he gets a shot so we can cut Taylor next year. Don't think he's the right guy for this team.

I like bell too, did last year. But I think Taylor is still the better change of pace back, and better blitz protector on 3rd and have to pass situations.
A-Train was spent by the time he left here that is for sure, but I think he could have had even better #'s if the team around him was worth a squat, the none of those teams were worth a damn when he was on them btw.

that is why your stay away from U of M rbs......well at least in the past run by Carr. He runs the rbs into the ground and they are spent by the time they come into the nfl. That is something I was concerned with Forte his rookie year that we used the hell out of him after he was used up in college then he declined his second season. Thankfully he has recovered from that and again shows the value of havign Taylor around

dabears54, you may disagree, but the benchmark for yards is probably 1200. Don't get me wrong, I hope Forte gets 1000+ rushing yards and 1000 yards is still impressive, but the benchmark is 1200 (I read this in a John Mullin article, the benchmark that is).
Consider that back when there were still 12 game seasons 1000 yards was the benchmark. It only stands to reason that the benchmark goes up playing 25% more games.
By the way, what's your game prediction? I didn't see a thread in the Game Day Discussions forum.

You won't have to worry about having any Michigan running backs in the league anymore since Rich Rodriguez totally ruined the football program. I support Ohio State football along with the Tennessee Volunteers because a friend of mine whom I attended high school with was big into Buckeye football and his dad actually walked onto the Ohio State football team during the Woody Hayes era, and we both keep up with the Big Ten pretty closely. Michigan is just a shadow of its former self, and I hope that Rich Rod is fired after this season in favor of hiring Jim Harbaugh, though I know Harbaugh may well have shot his wad with his incendiary comments about academics at the University. I want Michigan to get back to challenging Ohio State again for the Big Ten Championship and making "The Game" worth watching again like it was just five years ago.

we pray for Harbaugh but it will be tough competing with all those nfl teams interested. I mean who knows how much 49ers will throw at him. Then in Carolina he has the number one pick to get the qb of his choice. So there is competition for him and if they dont get him well meh lol

He may not be interested in pro football. Not always, but more often than not, successful college coaches don't translate out to having successful NFL coaching careers. This may well not be the case for Harbaugh since he was a solid pro quarterback for the Bears and the Colts. If Michigan lines up a few Brinks trucks and park them at his door out in Palo Alto, he might bite on the offer. As an Ohio State fan, I would like to see Harbaugh spice up the rivalry again and return it to its rightful place as college football's greatest rivalry.
