So you think that Chicago was playing up to their potential in that game? I submit that both teams have improved dramatically from that point. And what kind of assinine arguement tries to rewrite history? Woulda coulda shoulda really equates to excuses for poor play. Don't hide from your bad games, I don't hide from Chicago's. We've sucked in about a half dozen games, but we've been pretty damn good in some too. Our record says it all, just like yours does. You have a good team, playoff caliber, so do we. Unfortunately we will have to wait until a possible playoff meeting to find out who will win at this time of year without the excuses.

Packers will likely win, because they will be playing the JV Bears. Enjoy the gift of playoff football and save the homer vs. homer arguements for a real game. Hopefully we will see you again in 2 weeks.

I never said the Bears were playing to their potential. I said you pretty much aren't going to win a game where you commit 18 penalties, many of which killed long drives that had definite scoring potential (or were touchdowns nullified by a penalty). We played like crap and didn't deserve to win. Had more players than Rodgers shown up to play, however, we had a good chance to win.

Since that game we've been one of the least penalized teams in the league, which is good because it means our players actually learned from it and made an effort to correct their mental mistakes. I've never hidden from bad games. 18 penalties was nothing short of embarrassing to watch as a fan.

It seems like we have at least one of these stupid games every season that the team has to "learn from." It would be nice if the lessons from the previous season carried into the next and we didn't have to go through that BS every single season.

My life-long friend is a farmer in Wisconsin and a huge Packers fan. He say's A Rodgers is a 'candy-a$$'! He says he's not too durable. He won't be picking the Bears apart if he's sitting in the locker room getting a concussion evaluation! The Bears D will be bouncing him off the frozen tundra today and it -5 wind chill there now, the ground will be quite hard! He will have a bulls eye on him today, he better be looking over his shoulder.
I can hear it now: 'What city are we in?', 'Who's the President?' Go Bears!

Concussions have nothing to do with durability and everything to do with the way they land or get hit. It's not something you can avoid unless you avoid ever getting hit, which as a quarterback in the NFL is impossible. Rodgers has played through games with injuries before, including a freshly broken foot. He's far from a candya$$. Sounds like another "Packer fan" that's really a "Favre fan" to me.

Your right, he was a huge Favre fan. He still a big Packer fan though and like you I know he hopes the Bears get killed. What makes a person like you post on the rival teams forums anyway? You like to argue? You on the Vikings forums too? Maybe even Detroit. No one likes you at home maybe?

Clearly you haven't read 90% of my posts. Rarely do I argue with anyone unless they're flat out wrong about something. Nor have I started anything with you. You're welcome to "give it back" (even though I have yet to give anything), there's nothing you can do or say that I haven't heard before.

Dude, he wasn't being disrespectful toward the Bears in any shape, form, or fashion. Evernight is one of the best rival fan posters on this site, and that's despite the fact that he's a Packers fan. He is usually impartial in his critiques of NFL teams, including the Bears, but he is naturally going to stick up for the Packers simply because that is his team. We have other rival fan posters on here (most notably Phinfnatic, who is a HUGE Dolphins fan, but lives up in Illinois), and they all are good contributors to the greater good, which is to make this site a wonderful place for discussion. I did run into a Packers fan this evening in the forum who, unlike Evernight, was a total and complete troll. I won't say his name, but he posted in one of this evening's new threads with some harsh bashing of the Bears, and I called him on being a troll. You have to know the difference between what's a troll and someone who is giving some good nature ribbing. I had to learn it, too.
