It's true he always goes down on the first hit, I can't remember ever watching him break a tackle or make someone miss.
He's dropped a few balls the last 2 games aswell..Big drop against the Packers woulda been an easy catch 20+ yard completion, dropped an easy one againt the Jets that he tipped to Knox and Knox caught, and I remember he dropped another easy one against the Jets.
His blocking has definitely gotten better, especially out of the backfield. But he's basically a WR and it's a waste having him in this offense where the TE is never thrown to...whether it be the scheme, or that the OL is so bad you need to keep a TE in that can block.
If Tony Gonzalez hangs it up at the end of the year, maybe the Falcons would trade for him...Or Miami could be interested, they could do with a TE.
Bears would be much better off with a TE like Gronkowski or Pettigrew.
If he could convert to WR that'd be great, but I don't know if he's got the burst to get separation from CBs. Might have to drop a few pounds. If not, trade him for a big WR like Vincent Jackson, or a decent O-lineman.

I see too much upside in Olsen to just let him go. He's got better hands than you give him credit for, and he's been a reliable outlet receiver this season for Cutler when his number has been called.

he had 5th round value last draft

Give me a tight end that can block and catch for the "great greg olsen". We could trade him for a few wetnaps and a waterboy probably.

I don't think he does. I think a lot of people see what they want him to be, instead of what he actually has the potential to be. He's never panned out, and has had the same issues ever since he was drafted.

I just think Olsen is worthless in this type of offense i know Martz is talking him up but really what is he supposed to say .... he doesn't fit and is going to be worthless in the offense?
I would rather have Dez out there at least he can block and can catch the ball. hell i would take Kellen Davis out there as well.
i know this doesn't happen in the NFL but i would really like to see olsen traded for a veteran WR. hell i would trade him straight up for Randy Moss.

he was nothing in college and is nothing special in the nfl. All he was is a 40 time JA like usual fell in love with. Blalock would look fantastic on our oline right now.

Kellen Davis?... 6 foot huge, with decent hands, and great potential as a blocker. . . but I'll bet your gonna enlighten me with 135 reason's why he'll never be anything in the NFL.
Greg Olsen was highly touted as a Pass catching TE who needed to be taught to block. so far he's been as advertised. . . which I believe every Bear fan from the east coast to west cried, complained, and stomped their feet for. . .
every time you post nerrad.... I think of that guy from Major League 2. we could field a team of all stars, and you'll still be the one guy in the stands going on and on about how we suck, and it's all a fluke.
can we trade YOU for a few wetnaps and a waterboy? PLEASE?!
