Lovie has ice water in his veins, I do believe. No emotion. Just cold, calculative, and half the time, his calculations are filled with errors.

Look at the bright side, he has the 3rd most wins as a HC since 2004.

Yeah, but he also has provided an environment of inconsistency. He builds up back to back playoff seasons in 2005 and 2006, including the Super Bowl run, and then the bottom falls out from below and we're stuck in neutral for three years. It's taken us FOUR DAMN YEARS to rebuild to the point where we were in the mid-00s. Granted, you can't fault Lovie with that completely because he has to do what Jerry Angelo wants, but surely some of the blame has to fall on Lovie Smith because that 2007 season saw much of the same talent still residing in Chicago as the team's previous two seasons did. There was regression there somewhere, and I just don't know who was more to blame: Lovie Smith or Jerry Angelo. My sizable gut tends to tell me that most of the blame falls on Jerry Angelo for not making upgrades all along until it came time to have a knee jerk reaction after last season's disappointment.
