    The Rape of the Bears' Offensive Line

    Yes, yes, we all know that this is what led to our ignominious defeat earlier, but I think that if Jerry Angelo isn't convinced that we're not in dire need of good offensive linemen either from the draft or via way of free-agency, we should take up our pitchforks, storm the Bastille, and ransack Halas Hall! I understand that the Packers have potentially the best defensive line in the league, but couldn't they at least block Charles Woodson and Clay Matthews, Jr on the edges? Omiyale was terrible, so was Manumaleuna (sp?), and even worse was J'Marcus Webb when he was matched up with Matthews. Six sacks is too many; we should have only given up half as many as we did tonight, but alas, we weren't playing inspired football, and the Packers played for their very lives today.

    I don't see why Martz can't use more shotgun and be adaptive enough to employ an actual FB. Like you say I hope mgmt. knows it needs help in the draft and in FA on the O line.

    It will be about our luck today that we will won't get any better this offseason in that area. I have the most horrible feeling about this offseason.

    Yeah, I get that feeling that they may believe the O line requires nothing higher than a lower draft pick if at all and since we spent a good sum on Peppers we won't be signing FA's. Plus I'd almost bet $ that Kreutz comes back.

    This is where we need DB54 to do some number crunching on cap figure.
