Cutler's throws and decision making
Even when our offensive line holds up, Cutler STILL makes bad decisions/throws that come at critical times and can cost us games. Two examples: The first INT (targeted at Knox in the endzone) was a really bad decision. The second INT at the end of the game was a really BAD throw. These Cutler mistakes seem to show up rather frequently in our games. Yes, we've won a lot of those games, but we're in the playoffs now and the teams are better.
My concern is.... can you even TEACH a QB to stop making bad decisions, or does Cutler lack the quick decision making ability, open field vision, and instinct that belong only to the truly elite QBs in the NFL?
Sorry to be a downer. I'm a HUGE Bears fan. I just want Cutler to get smarter/better.

I just think Cutler's bad decision making is the result of him thinking he has to hold the whole team on his shoulders. He has playmakers around him. He just needs to make better decisions when throwing the ball. He's capable of being one of the better QB's in the league.

The first throw wasn't a bad decision, he was late seeing him and throwing the pass. The 2nd throw there wasn't much of an option, 20 seconds in the game and he had to get the ball in the red zone to get a shot at the end zone, he made the right throw just missed, so options were limited. The Bears should have used their last timeout instead of letting 15 seconds run off the clock, that was important and is what put them in that situation.
I really hated that first INT, it cost the Bears at least 3 points, but if he throws it early Knox might be there at the same time for the TD, it was just wayyyyy late.

I think Cutler needs to learn it is sometimes better to throw the ball away than take a sack or force a bad throw. He has times of greatness and times of WTF. He is our QB and no need to panic.
Without weaponz it's just another airline!

cutler is the big reason we have 11 wins. how about you get him a wr whos above 4 foot 5, and isnt soft and weak? Knox is not a primary receiver. the guys line couldnt pick up an outside blitz if their life depended on it.

He gets shaken up very easily and causes him to make bad decisions and bad passes. It's an anxiety thing with him.

I would expect him to get shaken up easily when your getting sacked 6 times a game.

Several of his sacks come from him getting shaken up. If he had his head screwed on straight, and was thinking fluidly, then he could have avoided a lot of those sacks.

he holds onto the ball to long at times, but no one was getting open yesterday.

Yes, but he can scramble, and can throw it away. I'd assume that he missed a lot of open receivers too. His head has been a problem all year long.
