Were the Bears WR's exposed in this game?
I'm not sure, just asking the question. They have alot of speed but still raw, especially with Bennett sitting out as he may be their best route runner and true WR. It seemed to me half those sacks Cutler had plenty of time to throw the ball, but no one to throw too. Even some of those replays showed really tight coverage and alot of bumping and grabbing by the Packer defenders. If your WR's can't separate and aren't a threat for RAC yards, then thats why they also blitzed every down.

We have young WRs, the oldest being Hester and he ain't much of a WR. I also can not discount Davis, but he is not used much. I think next year they will be better. Now they are still getting use to Marty ball and next year they should do better. If Cutler has no one to throw to he needs to get rid of the ball instead of taking sacks. So no need to scramble for a WR unless one kinda falls in our lap other than that no need to stress it. Offensive line should be no1 on the get list CB would be no2.
Without weaponz it's just another airline!
I am here to chew bubble gum and kick butt and I am all out of bubble gum!

There was way too much contact allowed by the refs, both after 5 yards and at the top of routes,
that has an effect on our fast (but small)WR's.

Nah, just like last week, they were covered really well. But, unlike last week, we didn't spread the defense out as much to make them guess, which makes me think we were a bit vanilla on offense.

i think when we stopped running the ball is what killed us more than having jay Attempt almost 40 passes yesterday. I also don't understand why we don't get the TE's more involved.

If this game meant something we would have won it, no doubt in my mind. we were half assing it almost the whole way and still put one of the hottest offenses on ICE.
Cutler looked split between winning the game, and getting Knox his 40 yards.... and it showed.
I don't fault the bears for not going out there and killing themselves over a game that didn't mean crap to us. not one bit.
In fact, it's kind of a "wow" moment for me. we gave a half hearted effort against GB's A game (playoffs on the line) and we looked like a cat just toying with a mouse.... sure the mouse got away, but we could have had them for breakfast if there was something on the line.

like I said before we need a number one wr. Two things holding this offense back is no go to number one wr and a solid oline that doesnt need to rely on max protect. We solve that and we can see some scary looking shit on offense.

Can't say that I agree that we need a go to #1 receiver.

we really missed Bennett out there. He gets doubled on 3rd down at times. Knox is way to soft to be relied on. They got majorly exposed

They should have had big plays as often as GB blitzed, the Packers really hold alot in the secondary and get away with that more then any team. Woodsen has gotten alot of flags for that but still does it alot and gets away with it.
