"I don't see this as a team with great talent"
Ummmmmm what?
Would you rather him sugar coat his responses to lie and say it IS a team of great talent? Well, im afraid thats an insult to teams that HAD great talent, such as the 85 Bears. How many players on this squad do you see getting to the HoF? Lach, peppers, Hester?
We have SOME great talent, some good talent, but still missing alot of pieces. Im looking at you OL.
I dunno, i guess it comes down to how you view his comment and your opinion of the talent on this team.
I know what he is saying. At the beginning of the year with this collection of players you did not expect this type of play. Angelo has never been a man who comes across as a good speaker. He misspeaks all the time and says things that don't come out the way he probably means them, and it sounds a lot different than it does in his head.
Its just comment stuck out like a sore thumb, and made it sound like he thought this would be an average team at best.
as often as I've read about fans being fed up with the smoke they've blown up our asses, I thought for sure I would find a thread celebrating honesty....or at least I figured someone would be pissed by the BS about C. Taylor and Manamanlua being as good as advertised, not pissed by an honest assessment. Cause I think he's right...these guys are like the 1980 US hockey team...talented yes, and capable of doing some great things COLLECTIVELY, but not alot of great talent
If you don't see this team as having great talent, what does that say about YOU, Jerry?
You can see that, right after he says it, he realizes he f*cked up and stammers. Then he tries to smooth it over by saying he's not minimizing the talent and that we have talent on the team.
Nice try, buddy.
Despite JA's honesty, he isn't admitting anything like it's his fault that the team is without talent. Maybe we should get Bill Parcells to come in for four years and take over the Bears' franchise and make some key draft picks.
Of course, I'm kidding about Parcells. But we need a better adjudicator of offensive talent from someone.
