MVP of the regular season?
Not wanting a poll, but just a general discussion. People I think should be in the running:
Cutler, he is the qb, and is having a far better year then he had last year.
Forte, he's been a beast and has been a great release valve for Cutler
Peppers, think the DL and LB's are happy we got this guy?
Urlacher, he's simply the only sure fire HoF'er on the team, and the year off seems to have healed all his injuries, he's playing lights out.
Hester, back to his original position(returner) giving us great field position, td's, and is also contributing on the O.
My take Forte, he's been the O; in all of our losses, we have passed almost on a 2 to 1 ratio more then we ran. In two of our wins we passed more then we ran(and we still ran the ball in those wins 25+ times). He's been a work horse for us, and has saved this OL w/his ability to bounce to the outide when the whole either closes to early, or never really appears to begin.

I'd have to say Peppers. Makes the secondary and LB's better and w/o him I don't think Urlacher would have the nice stats he does. Peppers is a quiet leader and even though he does not have huge numbers he makes the line go and Izzy is having a breakout year along w/Toe. I like Adams but you give Pep a great NT and I believe you would see some awesome numbers and plays.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I'm going with Hester. Field position has once again been outstanding. "Don't kick it to Hester" is well known throughout the NFL and has been proven time and time again. Also, he's taken on the roll of a starting WR which not too many gave much hope but has come along a lot further than most expected.

Peppers. The impact he's had on this team is almost tangible. The only games he's had trouble with opposing o-lines (mainly NE and NYJ) are when our LB's look like crap..

Peppers.
Cutler is invaluable as QB, but i wouldnt say "Most Valuable" since he was fairly inconsistent.
Hester is the best ever at what he does, but it only affects punts and kickoffs, which do not account for much of the game.
So yeah, Peppers has had the greatest impact and is our MVP

Peppers For Most Valuable Bear
My pick is for Peppers as well ... from his individual play (8 sacks/ 3 FF/ 2 INTs) this year to what he has meant for the others playing around him, Urlacher, Adams, Toeania, but mostly Idonije, who has posted nearly the exact same numbers as JP minus the INTs in his first full year at DE.
Plus I can't count how many times I've seen other Defensive players get beaten down field or miss a tackle, but here comes Mr. Ninety 15-20 yards from the LoS making the tackle. The leadership too... when at a few games this year I've seen him getting into special team and offensive huddles on the sideline getting the team pumped up & ready to go. And he's been one of the most consistent Bears this year.

I would say the team doctor is the regular season MVP.

lol, i thought about it for a second, and you may actually be correct. Past seasons weve had all kinds of weird injuries that hurt the team, and this season we miraculously seemed to have gotten through it relatively unscathed.

On defense it would be a tossup between Urlacher and Peppers but I'll give a slight edge to Peppers. He's a real difference maker and he's been responsible for the rest of the Dline having the best production they've had in years. If Peppers rates a 10 then Urlacher rates a 9 3/4 though.
On offense I'll go with Cutler over Forte but as with Urlacher and Peppers, not by much. Forte had a great year it's true but in the second half of the season Cutler turned the corner from just a very good QB to a great leader and field general. Once again it's a 10 for Cutler and a 9 3/4 for Forte.
Hester get's the ST MVP award. 3 tds and a 17+ ypr average, what more needs to be said. Honorable mention to Pat Mannelly for loyalty and steadfastness.
