Which free agent was a bigger disappointment?

First is Brandon Manufaila...err...maneuna. This guy was signed big bucks to be a mauling blocker for our team. The sad thing is that Olsen may be a better blocker than this chump.

Second is Chester Taylor. Taylor had 112 rushes, 267 yds, and a historically awful 2.4 rushing average. The only thing that he's done well this year is give forte a breather. IMO, Adrian Peterson (former Bear) could have done as good if not better for a better bargain. You don't pay millions for a player who puts up practice squad rb numbers.

Neither one of them play a huge role, so I don't really care. I still like Taylor though as a backup.

    Manu.

Taylor's woes have more to do with our piss poor OL then they have to do with him being a "bust"

I say Manu as well. Almost zero run blocking in the middle for Taylor. You know it's bad when Greg freaking Olsen can out block you. Except for a few hiccup highlights a bust.

Taylor is playing with the same OL as Forte. So with 100+ carries, that is a large enough sample size to put the blame on him.

Forte is averaging over 4.5 yards per run with the same offensive line, so that makes Taylor even more of disappointment. It's hilarious that people had him challenging for the starting job during offseason.

First, Taylor does deserve some credit for his receiving too, no earth shattering, but notable.

Second, he also deserves some credit for being able to pick up blitzes and general blocking. Pretty good at that.

Third, let's not overlook the fact that he has been used in short yardage situations fairly successfully. Not big stats there, but effective for the most part.

Last, he has had at least 3 significant plays that have been called back by penalties. I recall 2 runs of over 20 yards and a catch last week of 17 yds.

Manu, on the other hand, has far more disappointing plays than Taylor (penalties, whiff blocks, drops).
