Anyone still whining about Alex Brown?
AB put up 2 sacks this season. Meanwhile Izzy put up a fantastic season, just wondering why no one is still complaining that the Bears didn't keep AB for 5-6 million a season?

You put AB in where Izzy was, you could have had similar numbers. Putting someone opposite Peppers would do wonders for anyone's career/season.
Similar numbers for less money is a great deal, but you can't discount the above. A better supporting cast does wonders for someone's career. Look at Urlacher when we had Trailor and Washington in front of him allowing him to go wild where ever he wanted.

No way AB does what Izzy did. AB couldn't rush the passer, that why he's now gone. He's opposite Will Smith, a fantastic DE now. Why is AB not doing great? Simple, he can't rush the passer.

We moved out focus on complaining about Tommy Harris and the 13 tackles and 2 sacks he produced while earning almost 8 million this year.

So you are saying that AB can't do what Izzy did because he could rush the passer yet Izzy never had more than 3.5 sacks through out his career. Then comes a dominate pass rusher where teams will focus on more and Izzy gets 8 sacks. Yeah whatever JWB.

Izzy and Brown played on two different ends. Fact is we will never know how Brown would have done had he remained with the bears.
And for the record, for me it was never the choice of Izzy over Brown, it was the choice of Anderson (who was our week 1 starter at LDE) over Brown. Being that Anderson didn't make it past the first month with this team I'd say the concern was valid.

Alex Brown is NOT worth 5-6 mil. Not sure how anyone could be convinced otherwise.

Umm....as was discussed numerous times when we lost AB..his value went far beyond just "Sacks."
If you are dismissive of him because of his sack numbers, then you dont understand the value he had to the team.

5-6 million dollars per season? If he took a pay cut, i would have been happy to keep him. Meanwhile the person who led our team in sacks (izzy) has a league minimum contract.
