Bears want revenge on the Seahawks
At least two members of the Chicago Bears will spend Sunday rooting for the Green Bay Packers.
Fear not, Bears fans, the team's storied rivalry with Green Bay hasn't lost any steam. Kicker Robbie Gould and defensive back Chris Harris, however, did tell ESPN 1000's "Chicago's NFL Gameday" that they would rather play the Seattle Seahawks than the Philadelphia Eagles in next week's second-round playoff game at Soldier Field. For that to happen, the Bears would need Green Bay to upset the third-seeded Eagles in Sunday's afternoon's first-round contest. (The Seahawks, the No. 4 seed in the NFC, advanced to the second round with a 41-36 win over the New Orleans Saints on Saturday.)
"There's not a team that I least want to play, but I definitely want to play the Seahawks because they beat us earlier in the season," Harris said. "& I would definitely love to get them again."
Chris Harris tells 'Chicago's NFL Gameday' about why he wants another crack at the Seattle Seahawks.
Both Seattle and Philadelphia have previously visited Soldier Field this season. The Bears beat the Eagles 31-26 in Week 12, and, as Harris mentioned, they lost to the Seahawks 23-20 in Week 6. It sounds as though the Bears would love the chance to avenge that loss.
"I think we would love to see the Seattle Seahawks again," Gould said. "Obviously we didn't play that good of a football game against them earlier in the season. I think we were, as a team, trying to figure out what our identity was. If you look at how the season has gone, everyone can say we've played [against] backup quarterbacks and the whole nine yards. Yeah, that's true. And things have fallen into place for us. But at the same time you gotta win football games no matter who's out there and what's going on. But at the same time, once the bye week hit, we started playing our best football. I never thought anyone would say this, especially in Chicago, but go Pack go!"
The Bears used their first-round bye to get healthy and prepare for three possible opponents. Harris believes the extra rest will do the team good.
"The way I look at a bye is it's an automatic win," Harris said. "You advance to the second round [and] you don't have to play."
Harris added that he thinks the keys for playoff success are no different from those that buoyed the team during the regular season.
"This is the second season," Harris said. "It's one and done. We're definitely going to have to take care of the football in order to win the game. I think that holds true throughout the whole season, but definitely in the playoffs. [We need to] make sure we protect the football and ... take [it] away on defense, and I think we'll be fine."
The Bears' second-round playoff game will take place at 12 p.m. CT on Sunday, Jan. 16 at Soldier Field.

All I know is, at the conclusion of todays Packers/Eagles game I begin a weeklong, Kool Aid fueled, obnoxious, homer mode that will annoy a number of people here in Phoenix.
-
I hope we play the Seahawks as well. Although at this point, them or the Eagles is fine by me, since we can beat both anyway.
-
Yes, playoff time is homer time when our bears get there stuff together and make it. Thank God they did this year.

REVENGE, BITCHES!!! Let's hope for the Seahawks, but be prepared for the Eagles. The Eagles are not as good now as they were when we played them. I think we would beat them worse this time than we did the last. As for the Seahawks, they haven't seen us since we've improved :).

Eagles look flat again. Just like the Minny game. So we have a high chance of playing the Seachickens. Unless Philly does a 180 in this game. The Bears are healthy and will have Bennett back. MORE SCARE for sure..
Without weaponz it's just another airline!
I am here to chew bubble gum and kick butt and I am all out of bubble gum!
