If we get through this Sunday....I'll feel great about Atlanta! :-)

    GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

I want home field advantage for the NFC Championship Game. We lost exactly one more game at home than we did on the road this season. Keep in mind that two of those home losses were very early on in the season; since the bye, we have only lost one game at home (against the Pats). The two other games at home we lost were to the Giants and the Redskins, all before the Week 8 bye. I don't really think we have much to worry about in terms of a home advantage.

Yeah.....don't get me wrong. I'm totally PSYCHED about the game this week....I'm just not putting a lot of stock in this "10 point favorites" talk.
Especially when considering that we lost games that they were "favored" to win at home. That's all.

I don't care if we win by a field goal. LOL!!! :-) ..... Just WIN IT!!!! :-)

I'm with you. A win is a win. I don't care how we get it, though I would prefer that it be a convincing if I had my druthers.

Just getting into that NFC championship game is such a big deal, I really hope they win. Keep in mind that 2006 was the first trip to the championship game since the 80's! It's not easy to get there, and even harder to win it. Get there and anything can happen.

Yeah, I know. Hell, for that matter, 2006 was the first time the Bears had won a playoff game since 1990 against New Orleans in the Wild Card Round.

I don't give a damn about point spreads. What I'm concerned about are these three issues.

    1) Seattles two DE's had field day against the Saints and we don't exactly have top pass protection coming from our OT's.

    2) Hasselback is a very good QB who can pick you apart when given time and he always seem to do well against the Bears.

    3) We need to a lot better job of bottling up Marshawn Lynch than NO did. The guy doesn't go down easy and he does have speed.

The Bears may be a much better team than they were when they faced Seattle earlier this year but Seattle is a lot better too. This isn't gonna be anywhere as easy as the point spread may indicate. I expect a battle from start to finish. Let's just hope "Good Jay" shows up and Sunday and that the defense can hold them to under 20 points.

You forget that the Seahawks have no defense. They did get some pressure on Drew Brees, but there again, the reason for that was because the Saints passed the ball 60 times. That shows a lack of offensive balance, and basically telegraphs every play that you're going to call on offense for at least 80%-90% of your plays. Seattle's secondary got Swiss-cheesed by Brees all afternoon despite the pressure he was under. (Brees passed for 404 yards and 2 TDs.) The Seahawks will have the element of surprise lurking about when they wind up playing us again on the weekend.

I don't neccessarily disagree with you Dags and considering that the Saints we out of running backs once Jones and Bush got hurt Brees had little left to do but pass. Still, I'd rank Brees ahead of Cutler at this point in their careers and there's still the issue of our OT's against their two very good pass rushing DE's. Let's hope the running game is working to perfection. NO seemed to be getting yardage on the ground despite their being down to Bush and a 3rd string HB.

As it stands, nerrad, I fear that the Seahawks are going to use Las Vegas betting odds as fodder for pumping up the team.
