What would you sign/What would you draft?
Going into free agency, knowing that we have our picks this year, what position would you want to sign in free agency? And what position would you want to leave for the draft?
I would like to sign a WR in free agency. I do not like the idea of trying to draft an impact players at WR in the late 1st. I also feel that a rookie will not be developed by Darryl Drake who appears to be totally clueless.
In the draft I would like to look at the interior OL. I believe that their is great value at the end of the 1st round, where you can also get the #1 OG or C in the draft. I know that Angelo is weak drafting on offense, but I think Tice can help the drafting of the OL.
Lets be honest J'Marcus Webb is a pretty damn good 7th round pick and that was a Tice guy.

Give me Seymour, because if we're running that cover 2, we need a continually better pass rush, and I think he and Izzy could switch from the interior to the outside, which would REALLY ****** with opponents. I think we need to get Mankins (he could do for our line, what Hutchinson did for the vikes and the guy from the steelers did to the Jets; that is, help our young LT in Williams).

I could go for Seymour and Mankins. I would draft sometime in the late first round Mike Pouncey, since he's only positioned at the moment to go 40th according to CBS Sports.

Hopefully they'll put Pouncey at guard and not center... He sucks at center.

If that's really the case then maybe we should target the guy from Penn State, Wisniewski (?) instead. Let's face it, Olin is what, 33 (?) and no longer earns consecutive pro-bowl nods like he did earlier in his career. Every Bears Championship team has had a great center quarterbacking the Oline blocking. From Mike Pyle in the 60's to Jay Higenberg in the 80's to Olin Kruetz this past decade every great Bears Oline has been built around a great center. When we didn't have it we didn't win.
Olin Kruetz's leadership will get him by for another year or maybe two but in the end he's gonna have to retire and we need to be training his replacement now.
After that we should be looking at the best OT or OG available when we pick depending on what we may land in FA. I'd like to see us address the CB spot in FA since it looks like two top notch guys will be available. I like Tim Jennings a lot but his size when lined up against the behemoths of the league bothers me. If we can't score in FA let's hope that Bowman can turn it up a notch and get his starting spot back.
Next I'd like to see us draft a DT who can play the "under" tackle spot. I don't think Tommie Harris will be around any longer after his contract expires. After that I'd look at WR's who have both size and speed. It's a need but I'd rather not reach in the early rounds because the good guys will go early.
So that wraps it up; Center, OG/OT, CB or LB, DT, WR.
