yup the guy who allows dbs catch ints and doesnt try to break that up is number one wr material lol. Until he starts running correct routes rather then just rely on god given athletic ability he has he is in no way shape or form a number one wr. And until we get things like a decent oline and a NUMBER ONE WR we will always be ranked number 30 in offense

geez!1 no one is saying he's a #1.. just a feel good story of a late round pick from a small college "making it" in the NFL.. not being a #1..
Take a breath, and how about WHILE WE ARE STILL IN THE PLAYOFF"s.. enjoy the players, the team and games.. and keep looking forall the dark clouds, until this playoff runs ends.. we will have many MONTHS to destroy everyone and all playes coaches and team until everyon is convicned we can't win 4 games again.. but can we while 11-5 and in playoff's have some confidence and optmism while IN the playoff's and not look for the negative slant?

Mo the guys only in his second year so cut him a break will ya'? I didn't say he WAS a #1, I simply said that he had the tools to BECOME a #1 with a little more experience. You want to pick out one play against the Packers and use that to define his whole career to date? Sorry but he's the best overall WR on the team in my mind and his stats prove that. For a 5th round toss in pick I'd say we got pretty lucky to find him. Give him some time to develop before you start throwing stones.

Not bashing the pick or place on this team. I just dont see us being a top 15 offense(Im being optimistic here realizing who our gm is) with our current wrs. Does he have a place on this team? Of course. Does he have number one wr ability? He isnt showing that instinct to go after the ball at all cost to become that guy. No where did I write him off and say cut him. I will stick to what I have been always saying Bennett is our best wr of a group that comprises of number 2 to 4 wr quality.

Bennett is by far the most disciplined receiver route wise and also the smartest in my opinion but he lacks the speed to become a #1. I like the guy and I'm glad we have him because Cutler appears to have a lot of trust in him based on their pevious college relationship. To me Knox is the only one on the team who so far has shown any ability to become a number one. He needs some fixin' and some experience that's true but to me only a guy who's a deep threat can become a true number one. That he can do very well.
I'm all for continuing to pick up guys like DA who might actually become our Vincent Jackson but right now I wouldn't draft them any higher than the 3rd or 4th round until we solve other problems. Of course the caveat to this is that if a sure fire can't miss guy fell far enough for us to grab we should do it but picking where we do I don't see that happening in either of the first two rounds.

exactly... just a good story of a guy who is breaking out in his 2nd year.. not sayin he doesn't have warts or can't improve, just 'so far" has exceeded the expectations of 95% of 5th round picks in this league.. nothing wrong with be happy for a player even it he din't the #1 or "best"..
