What happened to Cutler's rollouts?
There was a stretch for about 3-4 weeks where the Bears did alot more rolling out with Cutler, he hurt alot of teams with his scrambling and throwing on the run. That seems to have disappeared the last few weeks, I was also surprised they didn't utilize that much against the Packers as that lead to alot of big plays the 2nd half of the year.

That went the way of the do-do as well as using the TE. I hope those trends change come playoff time.

If we lose, I think we need to fire Mike Martz.

we rolled out on jets and vikes.. and think week 17, wejust ran vanilla "O" and didn't roll out to chance cutler getting hurt in space or concussed. think if we played them gain you will see the rollouts, we just kept things simple, whether people likethat or not

My take is this:
I think knows what teams are good to roll out on, and which ones arn't.
or it could be we've had enough success without them we've satayed away in a sort of effort to get teams to forget about them?...
who knows. Pretty sure it's still in the bag when we need it.

why? and give cutler a 3rd year with a new coordinator? ill pass on that.
let mike martz install this system fully, and get a line. we will ahve a good offense eventually

I agree. Keep him reigned in like we have the second half of the year, don't do a 70:30 balance of pass:run.

I'm with 54 on this. We either didn't need to do it or we chose not to risk Cutler on that type of play against the Packers. With Cutler up against a guy with the speed and diagnostic abilites like Clay Matthews we'd have been taking an uneeded risk since we had the plauoffs already locked up. I didn;t like it either but I see the wisdom behind it now. Besides if we hadn't missed out on a sure score and then let the Packers off the hook with that big gain we probably would have won without it.
I'm in favor of using a lot of it against the Seahawks because of the fact that we haven't used it that much of late and they may not be as prepared for it. Cutler has already proven throughout his career that he's a very good passer when on the run.

Yeah, no way do I want Martz gone. I thinks it's critical that he IS back next year, and continue evolving with this offense. I also think he will be good for Cutler in the long run, he understands offense.
