The Observations thread
GB's receivers aren't going to be dropping the kind of passes Sea's did.
That's part of why Sea stayed with screens so much.
Some of our best players today weren't to be found much earlier in the season; Will lightning strike twice for all of them?
The points we gave up at the end are about as meaningless as hte ones the eagles did, or the ones the falcons did against the Pack.
Martz NEEDS to pull it in more. I thought it was more of a fluke that Martz was throwing so deep so often against GB, turns out he's reverting to old form; Lovie MUST stop that **** next week.
We have a better team than Atl, and GB better bring their A game if they wanna win
Conversely, ATL is better than Sea., and we better bring our A game if we wanna win

There is meaning in this game for both teams. So it will not be a repeat of week 17.

According to the Fox analysts, the Bears ran the ball 45 times. We went back to the old formula of what it takes for us to win. If we play this way against the Packers and don't go soft on defense in the 4th Quarter, we will win the NFC title.

Biggest observation I made was, Cutler is the real deal. Yes, I know it was only one game and he still could choke in the Packers game, but I don't see that happening. He was calm in the pocket and had great awareness on a couple of his plays when he took of running. I doubted Cutler in the past, but now I have 100% faith in him. I think we finally have our QB.
He embodies everything a Chicago QB should be. He's tough as nails and he doesn't take shit from anybody. Most people call him 'snotty' or whatever, but I just think he doesn't really give a shit about anything but his teamates and winning football games. That's fine with me.

I agree and I would add. He tamed the dragon. He threw it away a couple times. when it was not there instead of forcing it or taking the sack.

those guys were just happy to be playing today.
from a talent stand-point, they didn't have a hope in hell & didn't even belong on the same field.
this was a mail-in win, despite the final score not looking too devastating.
it's going to take an entirely different level of execution and intensity to win next week.
In my lifetime (as a fan) this is only the third time we've come this far.
Regardless of what happens next week, I'm proud of what these guys have accomplished this season. Because it really has been unexpected.

Several really bad throws, including the one in the end zone. I really hope everyone remembers that the Seahawks had to curtail their gameplan early on because of drops by receivers. Don't expect this against the Pack...
