I agree with 4th that NOBODY would've predicted this, but I thought that when some of us were banging the drum that the 08 lions were 4-0 and the 85 bears were 1-3, that the preseason was meaningless. But seriuosly let's STFU with this "wow remember way back when" crap, because we haven't won the NFC championship, we haven't won the super bowl. It's pretty sad, IF the bears win it all, we get "I told you so", if they lose we get "I told you so". Seriously, cut the **** from both sides.

From the playoffs forward was all cake to me. I said before the season it was a win win, we would get to the playoffs and make a good run, or Lovie would be gone. I was going to be happy w/both, and I'm happier w/this outcome.

Yep just NICE to be right AND ENJOY THE WINS AND LOOK FORWARD TO MORE WINS.. and not be so 1/2 filled all the time and having to be put down for daring to think the bears can be good. we are good and hope to complete what we failed in 2006.. yesteday shoudl ahve proved to the last of the naysayers this team is 'different" and not going to fold or not good..

Personally, all the I told you so threads are worthless. They are as annoying as the same people that can't admit they were wrong, as all of us who predicted a losing season have done.
Congrats, you were right. Enjoy your moment. Crow if you want to crow, rub all our doubting noses in it if you want. Just be prepared to have your nose rubbed in it each and every time you are wrong as well. That does come with the territory.
I freely admit that my predictions changed on a weekly basis. I went from 13-3 before preseason, to 7-9 after preseason, back to 13-3 before the Giants loss to 6-10 after losing to the Skins and Seahawks.
Those who say you never had a doubt, congrats. But be prepared, for every "I told you so" thread you post when you are right, be prepared to be called out if and when your predictions fail to live up to expectations.
Now, can you all just shut up? The Bears and the Packers are meeting in the game of the century. Who fricken cares who said what, when and why. Live in the moment, and stop bringing up stuff that happened 6-7 months ago. Enjoy this next week, because nothing is a given and all could come crashing down at the end of the game. Live up the now, stop talking about the past. Bring on the Packers, and then we can face the Jets or Steelers.

I think the very reason for this thread is because it's just as tiresome to hear the debby downers jumping off the bandwagon DURING PRESEASON. IT'S PRESEASON FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.
So instead of having 100 threads about how the Bears are going to lick the Lions' ass, this one thread sits here in all it's glory and hopefully reminds these same Debbies next year that it's just preseason and for tit's sake, have a little faith in your team. The hating of this team gets so bad that I think some of the haters actually root against the Bears to prove themselves right. That's just shit.
Hating on your team is a cop out in my opinion. It's easy to sit there and say this team is going to be terrible because if they are good, the hater reaps the rewards of their team winning regardless. It takes balls to put your neck out there and say they are going to be good because if they blow it, you not only have to eat crow but even worse, you have to watch your team suck. It's a double loss.
Say what you want, but as a fan that thought/hoped they could be good this year, I am enjoying this season even more. Why? Because a majority of our fans and media doubted the Bears and I stood by them. So yeah, it feels awesome.
Long live the homers. I'm proud to be one.

There is a difference, I believe, in hating and not believing. At points in the year, I did not believe.
That does not mean, that I did not enjoy most of the season. (Did not enjoy the Giants or the Patriots games). I love the hell out of every second of this season. I doubt you will find many, if any, Bears fans who will not say the same thing.

I can respect that. I guess the constant doubting grinds on me a bit.
We are all Bear fans, I just wish that there were more of the believers out there.
Imagine being a Lions fan.
