Olsen about Soldeir Field turf:
"It's the middle of January in Chicago. We've had a lot of snow. It's been cold," Olsen said. "You don't have to be a scientist to know that grass doesn't grow in these conditions. It is what it is."
Oh that Greg Olsen...telling it like it is. Of course Packers have their concerns:
Jennings called the grass at Soldier Field "probably the worst in the league,"

Both teams play on the same field with the same conditions. Green Bay always needs to whine about something. "A little Cheesehead with that Whine"

I like the field, the fact so many oppoonents are talking about it is a good thing.

I can't wait to knock the Packers out of going to the Super Bowl. Joe F**k will have to sit there and take it up the Hershey Highway the whole game! At least Troy Aikman is serviceable as a color commentator.

Reminds me of the old Boston Celtics parquet floor they knew where all the bad spots were and the opponents did not.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

Man, the Celtics' parquet floor was absolutely beautiful. I believe it is still there in their new arena, only it's not the same floor as was used at the Boston Garden.

The field is crap and has been for a long time. And I think with all the attention the subject is getting from the media and the league will finally force the Bears and, more importantly, the Park District to finally bring in field turf for next season. This will be a great thing! The Bears are built on speed. It's a speed defense and Martz's offense (if he's still here) is perfect for a fast field. Hope this happens. Besides, it'll be easier to just tear up the field & replace it than to try and clean up all the packer blood about to be spilled.
