yes he has more to prove; winning this game and playing well in the SB would go a long way to shutting down his critics. But he has years of poor decisions that he has to prove are on a downard trend, and one exceptional year is not going to diminish the previous ones. He plays well in the next couple games, and follows it up w/a really good season next year and those critics will be gone.

Right now, you HAVE to give Rodgers the edge. I agree with Jimmors wholeheartedly, it's not the QB's fault if the rest of the team isn't championship caliber. Think Marino would've had these same problems if he were drafted by the Bears? point being: it depends on where you are and what you're working with. Right now Rodgers has the better team and the luxury of being able to study the game from the sidelines, in addition to not learning under fire like Cutler. But if both teams are evenly matched, and Cutler simply does what he did this previous game, I'd give him the advantage of being a better clutch player, but his season play needs to improve.

depends on how.. if he kicks the ball to our "D" like he did in the cards playoff game to end, still on him..if he in the 4th quarter doesn't control the clock, and allows bears time to score and they do.. On BOTH rodgers and their "D"..

He was a rookie, I doubt he would've done that great..

Playing at HOME IN SOLDIER a HUGE BURDEN and IMO there is more pressure to win sunday with the home crowd and pressure because its the packers.. and all that implies.. over no matter who we would face in the SB...the hype and rivalry build up this week already more than a SB week..it will be awful if we don't win...

Honestly, i dont think either QB will have much success sunday. Each of our defenses are able to stop the other offense, but we do have an edge in the running game, so who knows. I predict a low-scoring game, barring any Hester returns or pick 6s

I personally want Jay Cutler to succeed and become one of the NFL's greats. He's not a bad guy like the media potrays him to be. I also want him to succeed for Chicago's sake. A few Super Bowls wins in my life would make me very happy. Soo happy that I will be out of this unemployed funk I've been in.

Might be a catch-22 for Jay, if he makes better decisions, lessens his mistakes, and we maintain the balanced attack he will be seen as "game manager" even though he is maximizing the offensive capabilities by doing it. So the media can say what it will.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

yep round 3 will most likely look like round 1 and 2 something think 17-14.. with a bears "W" hopefully
We won with a late strip of the ball by urlacher in week 3, they won with a late deep pass the jennings.. will as you said probably come down to 1-2 mistakes to decided it.. though the emotional side of me sure hopes like 2006 a 39-14 blowout for bears
What may be the "X" factor is 2 things saw sunday we hadn't been using,, which is when seattle brought the CB/S up to blitz( like packers do with woodson), we went deep to the the TE's on the LB's with oslen and davis for the TD's... and also when Seattle had curry on the line to rush cutler( like pacjer do with mathews), we ran screens /swings to both forte and taylor for 20+ gains on where the OLB should ahve been and william and kreutz got out quick to take out the s/cb's..if we can get either of these plays working sunday will really disrupt what capers likes to do, with his pitts blitzes
